1st time in Gran Canaria and the Sunprime Atlantic View. Staff very friendly and welcoming on arrival, especially Alexandra and Udane hopefully i have spelt this correctly?). Our room was immaculate and kept clean and tidy by Monica every day. Restaurant staff were excellent and being Ceoliac I was surprised to see a corner laid out with cereals, bread, cakes and biscuits with own selerate toaster for breakfast. Dinner was buffet and everything clearly marked as so were lunches. Big thank you to all at the Sunprime Atlantic everyone one of the staff made sure we had a great holiday.

“A great short break in the sun”

We booked a last minute trip to Sunprime Atlantic and we were more than happy with the hotel. When we arrived we were checked in really quickly and offered a nice glass of fizz which was welcome, we stayed in a 1 bed room apartment which was a good size, it had a living area and a small kitchen area which allowed us to make lunches from items we got from the Spar which is only 5 minutes walk away. The hotel is located about 10 minutes walk from the YUMBO centre which has loads of bars, restaurants etc however I think it would be good to do a little research before visiting. There are 4 pools at the hotel and absolutely loads of sunbeds so no need to go down and reserve a bed as we got one every day without an issue. We only had breakfast at the hotel but it was a buffet style breakfast and it had loads of different choices and was well worth the money we paid for it.

We recently stayed at Atlantic Sun Beach in Gran Canaria and overall had a really enjoyable stay. The biggest positive for us was the staff. Every single member of the team we encountered was friendly, welcoming and helpful. The reception staff in particular couldn't do enough for us. We hired a car for a couple of days during our stay, and they arranged everything for us with the hire company, who delivered and collected the car directly from the hotel, making the whole process incredibly easy. The hotel itself was very clean and peaceful. We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, and most guests seemed to be couples of varying ages. If you're looking for a lively, party-focused hotel, this probably isn't it, but if you want somewhere relaxed and well maintained, it's a great choice. Location-wise, the hotel is slightly outside the main resort area, but this wasn't an issue for us. There is a free shuttle bus to the beach each day, and it's only around a 10-minute walk to the Yumbo Centre, where you'll find plenty of bars, restaurants and shops. As the evening progresses, the area becomes predominantly LGBTQ+. Our room was spacious, clean and well equipped. We had an iron, ironing board, hairdryer and a small kitchenette area with a full-size under-counter fridge. We arrived late in the evening after dinner service had finished, but the hotel had thoughtfully prepared a cold plate for each of us with sandwiches and fruit, which was much appreciated after travelling. The snack bar was excellent and served drinks and snacks throughout the day. As non-drinkers, we particularly appreciated the branded soft drinks, many of which were sugar-free. Food available during the day included cakes, fruit, salads, baguettes and sandwiches. Breakfast offered a good selection of cereals, fruit, breads and cooked items. Although I'm not gluten-free myself, I noticed there was an impressive gluten-free selection available. Lunch was ordered from a set menu and included options such as burgers, sandwiches and spaghetti bolognese. One tip for future guests: the steak was listed as "entrecôte" on the menu. We only realised this on our final day and it turned out to be one of our favourite meals of the holiday! Evening meals were buffet style, with a different theme each night. There was always something we enjoyed and we never struggled to find something to eat. The pool areas were lovely, and despite visiting at different times of the day, we always managed to find sunbeds. The hotel clearly manages this well, which made for a much more relaxing experience. The gym was also excellent for a hotel gym, with a good range of cardio equipment, free weights, a lat pulldown machine, shoulder press, leg extension, leg curl machines and more. The only real downside for us was the bed. We booked a double room, but the bed was actually two single beds pushed together. Unfortunately, they tended to separate during the night, and I often found myself stuck in the gap between the mattresses. I'm not sure whether this is the same in all rooms, but it was a little disappointing. We were also slightly disappointed on our departure day. As we had a late flight, we had hoped there might be a courtesy room available for showering before leaving, but this wasn't offered. Overall, though, we had a very enjoyable stay. The friendly staff, clean facilities, peaceful atmosphere and excellent service made this a hotel we would happily return to.

What was great? The staff: Super friendly, polite, and helpful. It immediately makes your stay a lot more pleasant. The swimming pools: There are no fewer than 4 pools, and there are always plenty of sun loungers available. So no stress with saving seats with towels early in the morning! The atmosphere: It is an adults-only hotel, which (together with the lovely pool area) creates a wonderfully relaxed vibe. The location: Situated in a quiet area, yet at a great distance from the Yumbo Shopping Centre and the San Fernando neighbourhood. The view: If your room is high enough (like on the 4th floor), you are rewarded with a beautiful view of the sea and the dunes of Maspalomas. What could be improved? The rooms: They have seen better days and could use some modernisation. Noise levels: The hotel is quite poorly soundproofed. Especially if you are not on the top (4th) floor, you easily suffer from slamming doors and the scraping of wooden furniture. The busy road: The hotel is located right next to a busy road, which can cause some traffic noise. Distance to the beach: It is just a bit too far to walk to the sea, though the hotel solves this well with a shuttle bus.
