I have just returned from a 7 day stay. I thought the Hotel was fantastic. Great location. Helpful staff except on one occasion in the Beach Hut. Food great excellent choice. Entertainment staff around the pool friendly and did their best to involve everyone. Night Entertainment best I have seen. The hallways leading to the bedrooms desperately need to lighten up very dark and gloomy. Even have their own pillow menu.

I'll start with the positives; the pool areas were nice, room massive and well cleaned daily. The staff are brilliant, really friendly, nothing too much trouble. They deserve plenty of kudos for their hard work. My comments below are for the management. Negatives; as other people have said, the common areas are poor. They need a total refresh. Not nice at all. Carpets worn, gaffer tape and what can only be described as underlay in areas. Areas that are carpeted look dirty. It doesn't feel like a 4 star hotel. Beds; big and comfortable but no duvet? I know Tenerife is invariably warm all year round but a four star hotel offering just a sheet and a blanket isn't great. Noise, the management can't do much about this but they could at least put signs up and notes on their room stationery asking people to be considerate of others when coming in late. I don't mind a late night myself but I'd never dream of carrying on like some of the people I heard. It was as if they were in ny room!! There was also vomit on the stairway in the morning, which in fairness to the staff was cleaned up promptly. Lifts; the management really need to make this a priority. One of the lifts doesn't work and not once during my stay have I seen anyone working to fix it. A good reason to use the stairs if able bodied as I am but not so good for those who aren't. Precious holiday time shouldn't be spent waiting for one working lift. Food; only ate breakfast but it was great! Not sure if I'd stay again which is a shame because the staff are great. I think I'd sooner pay a bit more and go somewhere else. Would come back if they sorted the above. Going away in Europe is a lot more expensive than long haul these days and the hotel didn't give good value for money for what it was.

We’re currently staying at the Tigotan Lovers & Friends Hotel and, unfortunately, this visit has been a real disappointment compared to our previous stay over Christmas 2025, which we genuinely loved. This trip was especially important to us as it was booked last minute following a recent diagnosis for my wife. We wanted to get away, spend meaningful quality time together as a family, and make some special memories. Sadly, this hasn’t been the experience we hoped for. The biggest issue this time has been the atmosphere. There are a large number of stag and hen parties, along with big groups of friends, and the lack of respect and basic consideration from some guests has really impacted our stay. Noise levels are a major problem — the rooms clearly need proper soundproofing. You can hear everything from the corridors, and at times it genuinely feels like the room door has been left open. Late-night parties, shouting, and even arguments have made it very difficult to relax. There are also some maintenance concerns. The flooring in the room is poorly fitted, and the shower is in need of a full re-grout, which adds to the feeling that standards have slipped since our last visit. On a positive note, the breakfast staff are absolutely lovely and a real credit to the hotel, and the food quality is very good — no complaints there at all. The evening entertainment has been good again and we really enjoy the standard of the acts. We’ve already booked the Vulcano for July, and after this experience, we wouldn’t return here again during peak party periods. It’s a real shame because our Christmas stay was fantastic, so we might consider coming back at that time of year when the atmosphere is much more relaxed — but outside of that, this visit has really let us down.

We stayed at the Tigotan over Christmas previously and had an amazing experience, which is why we chose to return. Unfortunately, this visit has been completely different and very disappointing. The atmosphere has changed significantly, with lots of stag and hen parties, making it feel noisy and chaotic rather than relaxing. Doors are constantly slamming at all hours, and there is frequent shouting and loud music in the early hours of the morning, making it very difficult to sleep. The corridors are poorly lit, which feels unsafe, and they were noticeably dirty during our stay. Our room was also not up to standard on arrival — the bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this level. There was also a persistent smell of weed in the corridors, which added to the unpleasant environment. On top of that, the walls seem very thin — you can hear everything from neighbouring rooms, so there’s very little privacy or peace. Even the bedding was disappointing, with just a single sheet provided! It’s such a shame as we had such a great experience before, but sadly we wouldn’t return based on this stay We emailed the manager Javier several times prior to our stay and didn’t even have the courtesy to respond. Very poor.
