Read a few bad reviews of this hotel after booking and prior to going so got a bit worried but there was no need to be as it was fine. Yes the rooms are a bit dated and basic but overall ok ours was a non balcony room with the window just facing the inner walls of the hotel but no problem as we didn’t plan on looking through the window for a week. The room had a modern smart TV with YouTube Netflix etc. Everything functioned in the bathroom as it should .The rooms were cleaned daily apart from Sunday. The meals were fine with a decent selection of food both hot and cold ( salads etc), dining room itself was lovely. All the staff were very nice and helpful. Two level veranda at the top of the hotel with a small pool to cool off. If you want a nice small budget hotel in a great place to base your holiday from I highly recommend.

My wife and I stayed here at the beginning of June as we found a good last-minute (half-board) deal. The location of the hotel is excellent and check-in was quick and easy with all the relevant information being given (meal times, wifi code etc). We had requested a superior double quiet room and were given a (physical) key to room 504 which we were pleased to find fitted our request. There was a small balcony (with a manual latch) with a table and two chairs (but no drying rack), which gave a view of the sea and neighbouring properties. The room had a wardrobe with sufficient shelving for our couple of nights stay, a good fridge and a TV with BBC 1&2, ITV, Channel 4 & other English-language news channels. A complementary fruit bowl and bottle of water were a welcome surprise. There was no air-con and the vertical fan provided was ineffective, even at the coldest setting, so the room got quite hot. The weather was quite warm during our stay, but in hotter months this would definitely be a problem. The bathroom had a bath with decent shower, toilet & bidet. A hairdryer, two bath gels, two shampoos and 3 small soaps were provided. Breakfast was from 07.00-10.00. There was a good selection of hot British and continental items as well as cereals and pastries. There was a limited selection of fresh and dried fruit. The coffee and fruit juices from the machine were very good. There was one (slow/poor) toaster and a microwave. At the entrance to the dining room, there was a small open-air area with a few tables which proved popular. Dinner was from 18.30-21.30. For us, the choices on the first evening were better than the second. Drinks were not included with the evening meal, but were quite reasonable to purchase (eg 75cl still water/1.95e). There was a small rooftop pool (with helpful lifeguard) and various sunbathing areas. There was no shortage of (good quality) sunbeds and parasols. The hotel had a pool table, bookswap, small gym and comfortable lobby/lounging area. All staff were friendly and helpful. Our only negative observation was that the lift did not go from ground-floor level so you had to carry your luggage up some stairs to get to it. This might be a problem if you have heavy cases or limited mobility, however it would not put us off from staying here again (providing it was not at the height of Summer). Good value for money, but a little tired. We booked a Superior Room, with balcony, but it wasn't exactly'superior', good enough, very clean, and well maintained, but a bit tired. Balcony was just a small jut, no room for furniture. We did breakfast, which was standard, nothing exciting, often a little cool. Good position, quiet, good for most things. Staff were friendly and helpful. All in all, basic, but good value for money, would definitely stay again.

Mixed review on this hotel. Positives- very well located, central to old town, bus station and liked that. Reception staff mainly very pleasant and the room and restaurant staff too. The superior room did have a small balcony overlooking reasonably quiet street and Teide in the distance. Room adequate with perhaps a little drab furniture. The sliding door was difficult to open onto the balcony. Also fan was inadequate, so room very hot More negative comments ... stairs to get to lift. Main lounge bar not functioning which is a pity as they had a nice lounge area. And finally to the food. Value to price paid was fair as it was a reasonable deal. I found breakfast as ate later, that hot food was cold so doubtful about it although you could use the small microwave if you could fit plate in it. The selection was adequate overall with hot and cold items in place. The evening meal was still cold if you arrived early or not, it didn't look very appetising to be honest so I was very picky to what I ate. It is served in a pleasant dining room and little terrace area. I suppose I could say think value for money it was adequate and even good value, but although I do eat well usually, I felt I had to pick and choose carefully, especially for the evening. The serving of drinks and clearing plates etc was very efficient. The Gazpacho soup was good. I would consider staying here again perhaps in a cooler time period as overall it has good staff and facilities, slightly underused. Although needs some modernisation.
