We’ve had such a lovely stay at Grand Horizon and honestly didn’t want the holiday to end. From the moment we arrived, everything felt easy and relaxing — even opening the fridge to find a bottle of fizz waiting for us was such a thoughtful touch and set the tone for the stay. The real highlight for us, though, was the terrace. It was huge and made such a difference to the whole holiday — with a dining table, jacuzzi, sunbeds, and a really comfortable seating area, it felt like having our own private space to relax at any time of day. We spent so much time out there, especially in the evenings watching Puerto Rico light up below. The views from there are absolutely stunning and something we’ll really remember. The apartment itself was spotless when we arrived, very spacious, and had everything we needed to settle in straight away. It felt comfortable from the first day and made it easy to switch straight into holiday mode. The pool area is excellent — always clean, plenty of sunbeds, and such a calm atmosphere that it was easy to completely relax. The whole complex is very well looked after and has a peaceful feel throughout. Parking was another real positive for us. There was always plenty of space, which made having a car very easy and meant we could come and go without any hassle. A special mention to the staff, who have all been genuinely friendly and helpful during our stay. Breakfast service was especially lovely — warm, welcoming, and personal. Our daughter was so pleased when one of the staff members noticed her football shirt and praised it; such a small moment, but one she’ll remember and something that really reflects the friendly atmosphere here. What we’ve liked most is how comfortable everything has felt — peaceful when you want to relax, but still easy to reach everything nearby when you want to go out. It’s one of those places that leaves you with very happy memories, and we would definitely return without hesitation. Grand Horizon has given us exactly the kind of break we hoped for, and we’ll be recommending it to friends and family.

Absolutely incredible place with a breathtaking ocean view. From the very first moment of our stay, the hotel staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and professional, always paying attention to every detail. The hotel is extremely clean, from the apartments to the breakfast area. Everything feels well maintained and comfortable. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, and the view of the ocean makes the experience even more special. This was truly one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. We enjoyed every moment and will definitely come back. I highly recommend Grand Horizon Luxury Boutique Apartments to anyone visiting Gran Canaria.

Nice location. Rented apartment with private pool. That was the best thing. We booked and paid for the biggest apartment, but a few days before arrival the hotel cancelled our booking. «Due to technical issues». But someone else lived in it our entire stay. Departure day we asked to have a two hour later check out, which was declined. But when we left the hotel the room was not even cleaned, so I do not understand why we couldnt keep the room. Breakfast not impressive, but a bare minimum. They Call it a luxury hotel, but i do not agree. The price is high, but I have stayed in many less pricy hotels that have given much more of a luxury feeling. Nice personell working there. Will not return. Ps: they will make a draw for the highest / best reviews, where the price is a 5 night stay for 2 persons. This may be relevant info when reading other reviews.

We stayed for a week at the Grand Horizon Luxury Apartments, arriving in Gran Canaria at around 7pm. First impressions weren’t great. We were faced with a keypad-locked gate and no clear way of getting in, as neither my wife nor I had received any email explaining the arrival process. Thankfully, two guests leaving the complex let us through. Check-in then involved speaking to someone via a Ring doorbell at an empty reception desk, which made the whole experience feel rather cold and impersonal. The apartment itself was decent enough: spacious, clean and well laid out. There were, however, a few odd omissions. There was shampoo but no conditioner, and none of the little bathroom extras you might expect from somewhere describing itself as a place to “immerse yourself in a world of opulence”. That felt a bit over-ambitious from the outset. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was clean, but the pillows had a stale smell, seemingly due to the lack of pillow liners. I actually ended up putting them outside to air during the stay. Most staff interaction after check-in was done either through WhatsApp or via the same Ring doorbell. That, it seems, is what “fully automated” really means here. Very modern, perhaps, but when you’re paying luxury prices, some actual human hosting would go a long way. One member of staff who does deserve special praise is Melo, the food and catering manager. Lovely guy, genuinely friendly and helpful, and an excellent cocktail maker. Overall, our stay landed somewhere between average and good. On one Sunday afternoon, a house DJ turned up and played a oud set in the bar area. Fine if you enjoy pounding house music, less appealing if you were hoping for a peaceful afternoon. One final detail stood out. The apartment comes with a limited supply of coffee pods. On the penultimate day, I asked why housekeeping hadn’t topped them up, only to be told I could buy more from a nearby vending machine called “The Market Place”. That would have meant purchasing ten pods the day before we were due to leave, which seemed a bit absurd. To be fair, the person I spoke to eventually agreed to send some extras. Still, it does make you question how well this fits with the advertised “world of opulence”. I don’t want to put prospective guests off entirely, because there is plenty to like here. The complex is clean, the ocean views are excellent, there’s pool access, gym equipment, and the apartments themselves are perfectly decent. My overall impression, though, is that it feels like a hotel operating with the bare minimum of staff. If you’re used to a more traditional hotel experience, that disconnect may be noticeable. A few practical points are worth mentioning. Parking is limited, so you may need to keep a close eye on available spaces. The apartments are also at the top of a long, winding hill, so having a car feels fairly essential. Housekeeping visits every two days and does a decent enough job, although the stale-smelling pillows remained a weak point. The pillows also seem to come in one style only: soft and synthetic. If you prefer something firmer, consider that fair warning. The Wi-Fi was stable and fast, so no complaints there, although we did have trouble connecting Netflix on the smart TV. Not a huge issue unless you like watching Netflix in the evening. The self-catering facilities were basic but adequate for a short stay: cooker, microwave, and a limited selection of utensils. If I could have given 3.5 out of 5, that would have been the fairest score. It’s a decent place to stay, but there are enough rough edges to stop it living up to its own claims of luxury.
