“Charming hotel in peaceful setting”

This hotel is very close to the beautiful beaches of canatabria, we stayed here one night after arriving in Santander. The rooms were furnished in the typical style, wifi was strong and the stay was very comfortable. A simple but delicious breakfast was served in the garden of the beautiful domain.

I liked it when I saw their pics and once there you are not disappointed by the real house. Deco is beautiful with lots of details. Location is perfect for Somo beaches though Suances is really tiny itself. The problem for me were breakfasts because it was always the same and no cheese or fruit or ioghurt, just toasts and sweet things. In the evening, the quiet place I had chosen became sometimes loud because of the people (even groups!) from outside who came for dinner, and that's something that disturbed me a little, honestly. The bed was fantastic and huge, toiletteries unique, everything was spotless and cared after. The garden was lovely and green but no benches to sit on, just somewhere to look at, which I found disappointing.

“Rural house with character and in a superb area”

The setting is superb. At the green of a very small village and very near to the most fantastic sandy beaches ( 5 min drive ). The 4 Km beach of Noja should be a must. The setting is superb. At the green of a very small village and very near to the most fantastic sandy beaches ( 5 min drive ). The 4 Km beach of Noja should be a must. Santander city at 20Km by motorway. The hotel is in a very quite area. Bed is fantastic. The attention of the host is excellent. If there is a negative, then it is mobile signal, which has problems to pass the thick walls of the Casona. Relax, disconnect is guaranteed.

The house is beautiful with a huge garden. Breakfast was lovely; cheese, ham, fresh fruit, toast, croissants, juice and coffee however, we were never asked if we wanted any more juice or coffee which would have been nice. Our room (Room 1) looked beautiful. It was well decorated, had views over the garden and the bathroom was big but, on the downside, the floorboards creaked really badly! So much so that if you got up in the night the other person woke up! You could also hear people moving around in the other rooms. The headboard wasn't fixed on so every time you moved the board rattled loudly against the wall. WiFi only worked downstairs and even then it worked spasmodically. There is a small bar where you help yourself to drinks and write in a book what you have. This should be a lovely touch but it was really expensive. A small, warm bottle of coke was 3€, coffee & tea 2€. If you walk across the square to the lovely village bar, you get an ice cold coke served with ice & lemon for 1.5€!! We loved the bar with its lovely owners, children and Noah the puppy :) One problem we had was that breakfast was served from 9.30. Great on the days when you are staying but on our last day we had to leave at 8.30 to get to Gijon for our ferry. We told the owner who showed us where we could make ourselves a coffee or tea! Not the best service as in the past we have been provided with cake, juice, crackers etc. 110€ for bed and no breakfast seems rather steep! The beaches around are beautiful and you can walk to a few nice restaurants.
