We have just arrived home today after a great 10 day stay. We travelled as a family of 15 from ages 8 to 80! Everyone had a great time. We are not a fussy family and myself, my husband and 2 children (15&8) have travelled quite a bit so have experience to compare this to… here’s our review… Food & Restaurant Clean, loads of variety- chef on griddle doing fried eggs/omelette at breakfast then usually something fish and a meat. For fussy/kids there’s always chips, chicken nuggets/fish fingers, potato croquettes etc, rice, pasta with three sauces, salad bar is lovely and added extras change daily. Always plenty of food. Snacks between meals - fruit, pastries, cheese/jam bread for a sandwich, order burger/hot dog and chips at the bar. You have to be really fussy to have any complaints. Food quality is really good. You haven’t paid for gourmet food so don’t expect it although it is better than average quality-wise. Hotel What you pay for- rooms are adequate, family room has two separate bedrooms which we have found to be rare but in a positive way. Nice bathroom- spacious. Good quality decor. All rooms view the pools with balcony or ground floor table and chairs to pool side. All clean, and in good condition. Pools Plenty for smaller kids. Bigger kids have just a rectangular pool but they make their own fun. This is the ONLY PLACE WE HAVE BEEN (and we have been to lots of places!) where there are NO scrambles for sun beds ever as there are far more beds than guests. This was amazing. Entertainment The animation team work really hard and are all lovely. Alonso, Lourdes, Alejandro and Claudia are all fantastic, always smiling, always doing everything they can to keep the kids and adults entertained. We thank them so much!! Music is unnecessarily loud in the evenings at times in our opinion, and mini disco is also quite late but this is by no means a negative as I’m sure it was totally fine for lots of people. We’ve had shows most nights- flamenco dancing, circus skills, magician, singers, Spanish guitarist… they’ve been very good. Location/Access to town and beach. I’ve seen reviews on here complaining about the location/ getting into Tossa town. There’s a FREE minibus into town at 9.30/10.30/11.30 then 4.20/5.20/6.20. The driver actually keeps shuttling until everyone is where they need to be, be it into town or back again. And it’s only a 5min drive. This is a good service… and is FREE. You can walk it. We walked right to the beach and town with our 8yr old and 15yr old in 25 mins. At a reasonable pace. It’s quite a nice walk- it’s 3km right to the beach. Things to tweak (and they are just tweaks) -Queues for dinner/breakfast could be solved by opening up the downstairs restaurant as at peak times the upstairs really isn’t big enough. -Pool floor needs re-tiling. We found 5 missing tiles which is what the kids cut their feet on. This has been commented on last summer and we thought they would have fixed it- bring pool shoes for the kids!! -pool opens at 10- which is too late for kids really. 9.30 or 9 would be better- it’s also open until 7pm which again is a bit unnecessary when dinner opens at 7.30. Just our opinion though of course. -Trips. We went with TUI. There are no holiday reps at this hotel at all. We booked the waterworld trip (Lloret) which ‘included travel’. AFTER booking, when we received the confirmation email it transpired that the ‘travel’ included was from Lloret bus station because they do not pick up from Tossa. This meant a 25min walk or taxi to Tossa bus station then a 25min bus ride from Tossa to Lloret. When we got on the bus at Lloret it was LITERALLY 3mins to Waterworld. We could have walked it. There are no trip pick ups from this hotel. Bare that in mind. You can book trips through reception though. Some of our party went on the glass bottomed boat trip which they enjoyed a great deal. All in all we had a great time here. Good value for money, lovely staff, lovely food and drink, the sun was shining…. What more could you ask for? :)

We stayed here as a group of 5 as part of a Jet2 holidays package. Three adults and two children aged 11 and 10. ​A picturesque, castle-style complex set in a beautiful location. It is very isolated with no shops nearby, but the Jet2 express coach transfer made it easy (first drop-off, last pick-up). While officially rated 4 stars, I agree with Jet2’s assessment that it feels more like a solid 3-star resort. ​ Pool & Safety Concerns ​The Good: The pool is a great temperature with plenty of sunbeds (though more parasols are needed). They have kids and adults water polo and dance aqua aerobics activities, however it gets quite cramped in the pool given the smaller size and the fact they use half the pool up to play these games/do these activities. ​Rough Tiles: As other reviews mention, the pool lining caused multiple cuts and scrapes on our children's feet—pack plenty of plasters! ​Lifeguard & Safety Issues: ​Inconsistent enforcement of rules. One lifeguard aggressively took down our parasol without speaking to us after a minor issue with a floatie size (the rule sign was tiny and ignored by other staff). ​Lifeguards were frequently distracted by their phones while kids were rough-housing underwater. ​Putting up the pool barrier while people were still swimming felt dangerous in case of an emergency. ​Rooms: Spacious & Excellent Layout ​Amenities: Kitchenette with hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, and cutlery—perfect for families. ​Cooling: Air con is only in the main bedroom, but keeping blinds shut and the unit running effectively cooled the entire apartment. ​Noise & Comfort: Extremely quiet, very clean, spacious bathrooms, and great balcony views of the pool. ​Note: Our shower initially flooded the bathroom floor due to a block, but housekeepers cleared it quickly. ​Evening Entertainment & Vibe: ​Located outdoors near the bar with plenty of seating. ​The late start time worked perfectly with our family’s dinner routine. ​Acts (like the acrobat and magician) were brilliant, and the kids’ animation team was lovely. The fact that the team didn't speak English actually added to the authentic Spanish feel! ​ Bar & Food ​Card System: Uses a green card deposit system for plastic cups during the day. Switching to real glasses at night feels like a hazard for an outdoor poolside venue, though. Could also be confusing, might be easier to just keep to a solid system through the day and night. ​Snacks: Hamburgers, hot dogs, and chips are available (1 PM–5/6 PM), but it isn't well-signposted—just ask at the bar! They also have an area behind the bar that offer crisps, nuts, cakes, bits to make sandwiches - although these were often left out all day which put us off. The hamburgers and hotdogs and chips were great tho. ​Staff & Drinks: Friendly bar staff who pour generous measures of branded alcohol. Delicious mocktails for the kids, too! ​Shuttle Bus (The Biggest Letdown) ​It is an 8-seater minibus, not a full shuttle bus. ​While the drivers are friendly, it runs on a limited schedule to Tossa de Mar bus station. ​Because of the hotel’s isolated location, queues build up quickly, leading to long waits (30+ mins) and occasionally hostile line-pushing from other holiday makers. ​Private Taxis: Cost roughly €15 each way to Tossa de Mar and €33–€40 to Lloret de Mar which we ended up resorting to a few times due to the mini bus wait times. ​🍝 Restaurant & Other Onsite Facilities ​Buffet Restaurant: Located upstairs (stairs only) and gets very cramped. Long queues form outside on the staircase in 33°C+ heat. Get there early/before opening! Breakfast is by far the best meal. (Useful to know there is a microwave in the dining room to warm food if need be). Only one evening where our children were upset they couldn't find anything they didn't want; not the best food- but not the worst either. ​Onsite Pizza: Excellent, fresh pizzas starting around €10. We made use of this a couple of times during our weeks stay. ​Kids & Sports: Great football pitch, play park, and clean splash zones. ​Arcade & Toilets: Small arcade room. The adjacent toilets were rundown, dirty, and had broken locks—not ideal when used as the arrival changing area when our room wasn't ready for check in yet. ​Accessibility: Only one small lift for the whole complex, and you still have to walk outside with luggage to reach rooms. ​💡 Top Tips Before You Go ​Budget for Transport: Allocate extra funds for private taxis or consider renting a car. The hotel is isolated, and there are no footpaths to walk safely into town. ​Bring Snacks/Groceries: There is no onsite shop for basic necessities, which is a missed opportunity given the self-catering rooms. ​Be Prepared to Eat Out: Budget extra for meals in town or pizzas on-site when the main restaurant gets overly busy. ​Would we stay again? Yes! But next time we will hire a car to navigate the location better or budget extra for the taxi fares.

“Better than Average”

It wasn't the best holiday I've ever had, nor was it the worst. Plus Points Pools are great for kids and adults alike. Rooms were clean and spacious. It wasn't the best holiday I've ever had, nor was it the worst. Plus Points Pools are great for kids and adults alike. Rooms were clean and spacious. Loads of sunbeds (no sunbed fights or people getting up at 6am to reserve) Staff were all helpful Entertainment was good. Good Aircon units in our room (it was hot) All rooms face the pool which was nice. Free Mini Bus to town. Short transfer from Girona Airport Downsides No Shop on site or even nearby. (lose a Ground Floor room and make it into a shop, you'll make a killing!). 10am check out, we were not getting picked up until 5pm, they wouldn't let us keep our room despite the place not being overly busy (my opinion) , there was a shower room at least, but it wasn't very clean!. Restaurant was a touch small and was up a metal staircase, not ideal when you have to queue with little kids. As the restaurant was small, queuing was inevitable. Food was limited, it was tasty, but nothing to write home about. The Jet2 bus dropped us off at the side of the road, we had to unload bags dodging cars flying past not ideal with little kids. It was the same when we got picked up. Slush's were not part of the all inclusive, and were 3 euros 40 each. Bottles of Water were 3 euros each All in All we had a good week, but you do get what you pay for, this holiday was cheaper than our previous years holidays, and its shows. Would we go back, probably yes.

This hotel would be great for a family with kids aged 1-6. Anything older, and they will get bored. Pros: - 2 x splash pools and 1 has a slide. - Small park and football pitch. - Rooms very clean and Air Con was great. - Every room is within a 20-40 second walk to the big pool. - Most staff very friendly. - Complete mix of nationalities, which i thought was nice and change from what I am use too (mostly just British and German). - Shuttle bus was great when not queuing. Cons: - The main pool isn't very big and quickly and easily gets overcrowded. - Queuing for every single meal - up to 40 minutes - quickly became extremely frustrating, especially with kids. - This complex is a 30-40 minute walk to anything else nearby. Overall: I think this hotel would be great for families with very young kids. The Big downside of queueing for meals I can't see being resolved as the restaurant isn't big enough for the amount of people. Good staff, good atmosphere.
