The hotel is modern and is around a 20 minute walk from the nearest train station. That's not too bad a walk - until you have spent a day walking round Barcelona and have that to face when you return. If it was a hotel in Bangkok for example you would probably get a free tuk tuk ride to and from the station. This hotel should consider something similar to broaden its appeal. We checked in smoothly and were given a room on the 6th floor near the pool. We got the lift up and opened the dor. We were nearly knocked back by the heat- it was stifling. It is south facing and the staff had not drawn the curtains during the day. The window was large with a window seat and was a fixed unit. The air con was not on. We switched it on but it just produced a pathetic trickle of coolish air. We rang reception and they sent up an employee who fiddled with the controls and said it was now working properly. It wasn't. So we spent a very uncomfortable night. In the morning we went to reception to ask that it be operating properly by the time we returned. When we got back that evening it was working to an acceptable level. No apology from the hotel. It was a small room- about the size of a cabin on a cruise ship. The bed was comfy. The TV had limited English language channels. There was tea/coffee- but the milk was not replaced on day 2. There was no information in the room about the hotel and its facilities (such as the restaurant menu, breakfast buffet, snack bar, poolside bar- although we saw no evidence of a bar when we visited the pool, shared TV lounge) nor about the local area- sights, transport, restaurants and cafes). We had one evening meal at the restaurant. It was fully booked so we ate at the bar. The meal was very nice but the menu very limited so only had one meal there. There is a café opposite so we had breakfast there. On the day we checked out we left a bottle of prosecco in the room fridge. We left out luggage at the hotel and went into Barcelona. When we got back to collect our luggage that would have been the opportunity for reception to say" We found this bottle of prosecco in your room." That did not happen. So for all these negative reasons we would not return.

“Quiet Neighborhood Location”

Hotel is very to close to the Barcelona FC stadium with a nice cafe and two grocery stores close by. There is on sight parking for a fee (around 20 Euros) although the spaces were limited and the spots were small; free street parking is also located behind the building. Hotel is very to close to the Barcelona FC stadium with a nice cafe and two grocery stores close by. There is on sight parking for a fee (around 20 Euros) although the spaces were limited and the spots were small; free street parking is also located behind the building. The rooms were clean, beds were fine. Our room had a bathtub, a mini fridge and slept three comfortably. The room felt safe although, they require you to use your room card to access the elevators, but for two nights the stairwell door was wide open on the back side of the building, we were able to get to our rooms with no cards/elevator. The rooms do not have peep holes or safety swing locks on the doors.

“Smoking Policy at Pool Area needs to be evaluated”

Our recent 3 nights stay at the SB Hotel Win Barcelona. The hotel's location is far away from City Centre. The most convenient way to travel is by the R4 Train, which the station is 12 mins walk from the hotel.  There are 2 supermarkets just 2 mins walk from the hotel. Would appreciate if the hotel can provide a Microwave at the lobby for alternative food options. The accommodation provided is a modern room equipped with basic amenities. Smart TV is convenient to cast and to provide excellent choices such as YouTube for entertainment. Gym was complimentary and machines are new and adequate for hotel's standard. Complimentary broadband internet access was available, offering satisfactory speeds for general use. The buffet breakfast was adequate and provide an excellent value for money.  The staff were approachable and the pool attendant was attentive and frequently picking up rubbish that was blown into the pool. The pool at level 6 is a nice area to chill. My only concern is the Smoking Policy at the pool area. There were too many people who are smoking and the ashes are all over the floor, and the wind will blow the ashes into the pool caused the pool water to be "cloudy" and "Murky". May a time, the cigarette buds were blown into the pool as well. Having said that, the pool attendant was superb.  I wonder if the hotel even allow Shisha (Hookah) at the pool area. There were many childrens at the pool area. Unfortunately, people were smoking Cannabis as well.  If I knew all these, my choice of stay would be very different.
