In may 2026, I had the pleasure to host a scientific meeting at aquahotel onabrava and spa for 4 days. From the beginning of the process (renting the meeting room, ordering the food and refreshments etc) the interactions were always highly professional effective and friendly. All the organization was taken care beautifully by the team of the hotel. The participants were raving about the venue setup and the level of service and comfort provided, and required to hold additional events at the same place. The convention was a success and was the clear result of the professionalism of the hotel team. At a personal note, I would like to thank Moises, head of the animation team, who gave his heart to arrange all the audio/video/wifi/cables/computer needed for the event. We had many screens and the setup was complicated but Moises fixed it all for us, ensuring smooth presentations during our conference. In addition, I want to thank Albert who took care of the conference room and refreshments/luncheons. Albert was extremely dedicated to the success of our event , kept us well fed, and always made sure we had everything we needed at all time. Thank you so much for hosting this event, it was a great success thanks to you, and I hope to repeat it.

“Great Hotel but some services need to be changed.”

Stayed here for a week as part of a trip to watch the Barcelona F1. Very nice hotel in a great location. 40 mins from the circuit and 10 mins from the beach. Stayed here for a week as part of a trip to watch the Barcelona F1. Very nice hotel in a great location. 40 mins from the circuit and 10 mins from the beach. Barcelona is about an hour and 20 on the train with the train station a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Rooms are clean and spacious with shampoo shower gel and towels provided. Unfortunately there is no tea and coffee facilities in the room so if you’re an early riser you’ll have to wait until the restaurant opens at 0800. This is a big issue for me. Pool is clean and there are plenty of sun loungers. We didn’t have a problem getting one but we are a little out of season. There is a bar by the pool and a shop where you can buy gifts. There is also an ice cream shop should be want one. Restaurant. Mealtimes are 0800-1000 for breakfast, and evening meal is 1900-2200. Way too late for early risers in my opinion. Breakfast should be available from 0600 and evening meal available from 1700. If you are half board then drinks with your evening meal are payable , which is to be expected. There is a Spa and a gym however the latter doesn’t open until 0800 and closes at 2000 and there is a charge of 5 Euros for 2 hours in the gym. This should be free for hotel residence and should be available from 0600 even if it’s unsupervised at the users risk. If you go at 0800 for 2 hours you’ll need to forfeit breakfast. Not good. There is hotel parking but be warned it’s 15 Euros per day. Again this should be free for hotel residents. It does get expensive when you need parking for a week. To summarise, it’s a good hotel but needs some changes for it to be a great hotel hence why it gets only 4 stars.
