We visit family in Barcelona every summer and always stay in a hotel in Santa Susanna as we love this resort. We have stayed in most hotels here over the past 10 years. This one has been our favourite so far. It ticks all the boxes for us as a family with twin boys aged 12. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. You can tell they are happy in the jobs. Reception staff were very welcoming particularly Virginia who helped us with our bill checking out. The entertainment staff work hard especially Lucas who has amazing energy every day. You do really notice when he isn't around. The girls seemed lovely too but tended to spend more time with the younger girls in the club room. One of the highlights for my boy was the football activity. It was played on the big pitch behind the hotel. It was lovely too see the hotel staff join in too like the barman Clement and a few of the waiting staff. The bar staff are all friendly and always happy. Big shout out to Renzo who was our absolute favourite member of staff. He approached us asking if we were from the UK. He was always friendly, smiling and made time to ask us about our day. He is a lovely young man and it was a pleasure to meet him. I found that the hotel was mainly Dutch & French residents and didn't come across any other guests who were from England. This wasn't a problem at all as everyone joined in activities and my boys got along really well with them. We stayed in room 510 and it was a family suite. The room was very generous sized with lots of storage. The balcony was a treat with a lovely view of the sea. The rooms were cleaned daily and we had fresh towels. The restaurant staff worked very hard at breakfast & dinner. Patryia was very sweet and stood out for us for her hard work and friendliness. The hotel is situated opposite the train station in the quieter part of the resort. The pool is okay sized for the hotel, not the biggest in the resort. Sunbeds can be reserved but we didn't bother and didn't struggle to get some. The regular life guard was lovely too. Not too strict like the one that covered for her one day during the week. I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone staying in this resort. I cannot fault anything about it. I just wished we had discovered it earlier.

Just come back from a week at Montemar Maritim and i have mixed feelings about my visit here. Firstly the hotel its self is lovely, clean and spacious! We stayed in a family suite, which was very modern and had lots of space for a family of four. When you arrive you are not given a card key to your room, you have a wrist band to open the door. This wrist band is also used to purchase drinks at the bar, you order then scan the band and at the end of the week pay your food/drink bill (although i found out at the end you can clear your bill daily). Reception staff are very helpful and polite, as are most of the bar staff especially Renzo! The kids entertainment isn't anything special and i was very put off by the fact the entertainment staff clearly didn't like us being English and constantly made comments or digs, even my young daughter noticed this and was upset because she didn't feel included. Very strange to be honest! Pool isn't massive but enough to play in and the lifeguard was very polite and helpful all week, you can reserve a sunbed for 1 euro, which i thought was a great idea, especially when its busy. The food is what i expect from these kinds of hotels, plenty of choice and its all nice! We did half board, but the local restaurants nearby are reasonably priced, they do need new toasters though, was waiting that long i gave up and never used it again all week. Location is great , not far from the airport, beach and shops. You can get a train to Barcelona too which takes around 1 hour and is easy to navigate. I would come back to Santa Susanna again but not this hotel personally !

Lovely hotel lovely staff except the child entertainer he is very rude and shouted at my 8 year old grand daughter because she couldn’t understand why he was saying Don’t go if you are English and have children He didn’t make any attempt to make conversation with her He was only interested in the children who could understand him Would certainly not recommend as child friendly for anyone coming from England . Non of the entertainers can speak English Not good image
