Stayed here as a family of 3, paid extra for a pool view and stayed half board. We arrived around 11am and had to wait til 1pm for the room which was no issue, when going into the room we noticed it was only set for 2 people, went to reception and they sent someone in to set up the child’s bed. The main bed was two singles pushed together we found these beds really hard, which resulted my partner staying in the child’s bed as it was softer all week. We stayed October half term so the outdoor pool was cold, but the small outdoor jacuzzi was okay to use, you had to book the indoor pool which we did but found they let to many in at a time which become overcrowded. There was a small out dated gym, but fine. The food was okay, breakfast was the same every morning, dinner seemed to be fish every night, and my 8yr old lived on plain pasta and chips not much for kids. It’s self serve so food was never hot. There is a microwave that you can use. Location is good, 10min walk to the beach and 10min walk to bus station. We did the land train which was around 6euro each, don’t really see much though. There’s a market on a Thursday just in the next few from the hotel, this was nice to walk around. There was no entertainment or kids club in the week we stayed they were dressing the hotel for Halloween for the day we left which looked fab. There’s a park in the next street. Overall it was a nice week and we would return.

“My first visit to Spain. Loved it.”

Lovely clean hotel, good choice of breakfasts (we only booked b&b as wanted to explore local restaurants). Staff were friendly and helpful, entertainment was varied. Enjoyed our stay.

We booked this hotel based on good reviews and seeking to avoid Lloret de Mar. At just under £1000 for 6 nights for the three of us, half board, it was a good deal. We were considering a score of 4 but have downgrade to 3 upon final review. The hotel overall is a nice family hotel sited away from but not far from the beach. We experienced undisturbed sleep. We enjoyed the bar where service was first class. The evening entertainment was good though perhaps too many guitarist acts over just a 4 day period. A nice touch was the restricted access pass system for the luggage room - it would be nice to see that in other hotels. The room was adequate for two adults and our thirteen year old. And the cleaning service was good. The rooms were a little dated but everything worked except the air conditioning failed over the course of the last few days. We reported it to reception and seemingly the maintenance people looked at it but it remained just a fan blower rather than an air conditioning unit. There was also a loose power socket adjacent to the TV - not a problem for us but we would have been concerned had there been younger children in our party. The bathroom lacked space to store our toiletries (just a minor point really). We tried the indoor pool which was free and very nice indeed. The outdoor facilities were fine except the hot tub appeared to keep the lifeguard busy managing it owing to its over popularity. Tossa was great. The castle in particular. However we felt a little captive and ended up taking a bus from the bus station to Lloret. Getting further afield would surely require a hire car from Tossa. Food. We staid half board. At times it was a struggle finding anything to shout about. On some days we found some enjoyable options but others not so though we were always able to fall back on the cold meats, cheeses and salads. Breakfasts were okay with eggs and “Spanish” bacon cooked to order. We came to the conclusion that the food options were targeting continental clients and the French in particular. On our last evening there were burgers (pork) on offer and to our dismay they were grossly underdone - we were surprised to say the least. It is 3/5 from us.
