For the price we paid, we were really pleased with our stay! It’s up a little bit of a hill, so be wary of this if you have mobility issues. The hotel is decorated in quite an old traditional Spanish style, with lots of character, which we liked. The location is great, really close to the beach and the castle, as well as lots of shops and restaurants. Rooms are fairly basic, but clean, and had everything we needed. The staff were lovely, really friendly and helpful. We stayed with half board, and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the evening selection. There was also live entertainment in the bar on the Saturday and Tuesday night.

This was the third visit to Neptuno and will not be our last. We went half board as the price was good. Sadly I think the food has gone down a bit since our last visit in 2022. Breakfast was pretty much the same but without a choice of omelettes. The evening meal was quite busy and you had to queue most nights and there was certainly less choice. I personally always found something but partner struggled and missed most of the meals on our stay. When we return we will probably just do B&B. Our room was a good size and although dated was perfectly acceptable and was cleaned daily if we wanted. The staff are as all our other visits were excellent especially the bar staff. Couldn't fault them. All in all another great holiday at the Neptuno.

I would just re-iterate everything I have read here. The hotel is very Catalonian, and without sounding stupid, very Spanish. The food was excellent. We went on a B&B basis and we always do, as I like to see what the evening meals are like, that way if it is mediocre or not good, you dont feel as you have been ripped off and compeled to eat there just because you have paid for it, and we also like to eat out in the towns some nights. This gives you the option to buy an evening meal ticket which was priced at 18 Euro's each, it was an excellent thing to do, as the food was very good and brilliant value for money, obviously drinks not included. The hotel was very clean, and staff excellent. Another excellent factor was that the Pool Bar are prices were excellent and no dearer than in the town, in some cases lower, and the menu there for pool snacks offers a good choice at very reasonable prices. I had a back massage which again was excellent at 35 Euro's for 25 minutes, by Stephanie and she was excellent. I would definatly recommend this hotel and have no complaints at all, with the small point only that I did miss tea/coffee facilities in your room, but is was a very small point. Just one word of advice, as much as I liked this hotel and am already looking to book soon to go back in September, if you do have mobility issues, there is a short but steepish hill to get to the main entrance. The location is excellent and right near the bus station, train and bus prices are excellent, Tossa itself is a great great resort, and we all felt very safe there, it is a world apart and should not be confused with Loret De Mar, down the coast. Thouroughly recommended

We arrived by car, and had car parking booked. The car park is located down the hill from the hotel, and instructions for parking for the first time were not given. This led to confusion since the road to the hotel was blocked by a bollard and access was not possible. Parking in Tossa de Mar is at a premium. After finally working out what to do, and reaching the hotel, the reception staff were very helpful. All the staff throughout our stay were excellent, friendly and efficient. This was our second stay here and the cleanliness and general appearance of the hotel was just as good as we remembered. Apart from having to pay extra for a key yo use the room safe, and cash deposits for the car park and safe keys, the receptionidt also said there was a charge for using the fridge! That turned out not to be the case, but it did seem as though there were a few money making policies that were not in place three years ago. As for our stay, the room was comfortable and clean, though lacking a full length mirror and a make up mirror in the bathroom( not an issue for me but my partner found it a little inconvenient). The balcony was big enough and offered a lovely view of the pool and sea. The food was fine, and offered plenty of choices. Our only gripe was that it was busy andcthe dining room could not really cope with the numbers. Two sittings would have made things less of a battle! As always at a buffet, some residents seemed unaware of the queues and took inordinate amounts of time to load up their plates, one lady even attempting to remove mussels from their shells at the buffet, whilst the queue behind her grew longer and the food inevitably grew colder. These issues aside, we really enjoyed our stay and the staff are so nice that it makes up for minor inconveniences. Tossa de Mar is a lovely little, historic town, which we love to stroll around. We also found the Strops Bar ( Sports bar), a little off the front, which was frequented almost entirely by locals and run by a delightful young couple who made us feel really welcome. Overall we had a great stay at The Neptuno, and with a couple of tweaks to the parking info and the crowding in the restaurant, it would have been perfect.
