We have just arrived back from a wonderful holiday at Best Pueblo Indalo. Location is great with the beach directly opposite. There is a small road between the complex and the beach with a zebra crossing. The bus stop is also across the road. Buses are reliable and cost effective, getting us to the places we wanted to visit with ease at a cost of €4.80 for a family of 4. The beach is fabulous, loads of space and sunbed/parasol hire at €7 for the day (we disnt bother with this), paddleboards, kayaks and pedalos available to hire. We did paddleboarding for 1 hour costing €15, buoyancy aids supplied. The apartment was ok! We wish we'd have chosen a 2 bed as it was a bit on the small side for us. The sofa bed wasn't the comfiest, but it did a job. Bathroom was lovely and the kitchen has all you need: utensils, pans, kettle, toaster etc. The fridge was not switched on when we arrived, but by the next morning it was cold (just something to bare in mind). Rooms were cleaned daily. Balcony on the small side, but it was enough. We did have an issue with our air conditioning leaking through the ceiling, which also caused an intermittent alarm. We raised this with reception and they sent a maintenance person. Unfortunately the problem kept reoccurring so we were moved to another apartment. The staff were really helpful in sorting this. We were given free late check out as a gesture of goodwill, which was perfect for us. The complex is beautiful! Clean, cool Reception area, with friendly, helpful staff. The gardens and pools are clean and well maintained. There were loads of parasols and sunbeds available, we never had a problem getting 4 and there was plenty of space around us. There is an on site supermarket, with a good selection of food and drink and prices are not too bad plus fresh bread baked twice a day!! There is another supermarket and plenty of restaurants/beach bars offering a variety of menus along the seafront. I cannot comment on the evening entertainment as we didn't attend, but the daytime pool activities were fun. Staff were great speaking in both Spanish and English. Mostly Spanish families on their holidays, but we loved this. We didn't want the UK in the sun, we wanted to experience Spain. All the staff and most of the other guests spoke English and I think if you make even the smallest effort to Speak Spanish it is welcomed. Everyone was really friendly! We were self catering so can't comment on the restaurant, but we did see a very long queue at lunchtime. The on site gelato ice cream stall and pizzeria were excellent. All in all, we had a great holiday and we would return to Best Pueblo Indalo without question (just with a 2 bed apartment instead of 1).

After spending a week at Best Pueblo Indalo, I wanted to leave a fair and honest review because our holiday had both a very poor start and an excellent finish. We arrived at around 11pm after a long day of travelling and checked into our room, only to find it clearly hadn’t been cleaned. There were dirty towels, used crockery, a dirty fridge, dirt on the floor and bird mess on the balcony. It simply wasn’t a room that should ever have been allocated to arriving guests. We returned to reception and were moved to another room. Unfortunately, this room was much smaller than the one we had booked and had two small single beds. We explained that they clearly weren’t double beds, but were told they were. After such a long journey and travelling with our 7-year-old son, we had little choice but to accept it for the night. We were assured our original room would be cleaned and ready the following day. When we returned to reception the next day, nobody seemed to know anything about what had happened the previous evening. We had to explain everything again and show the photographs ourselves. This is probably the biggest learning point for the hotel. Better communication between reception shifts would have prevented a lot of unnecessary frustration. Thankfully, the receptionist immediately referred us to the Front Desk Manager, and from that moment everything changed. As soon as we told her which temporary room we had been moved into, her immediate reaction was, “Oh… that’s a small room.” Straight away we felt she understood the situation. She listened, apologised and involved the Hotel Manager. From then on, both ladies were absolutely fantastic. They didn’t make excuses or try to dismiss our concerns. They genuinely cared about putting things right. We were moved into a much better room and our holiday completely changed for the better. Later in the week we asked about a late checkout. We were advised to come back on Friday, with no mention of a specific time or that it was unlikely. When we returned on Friday morning, we were told it was too early and to come back later, but also that it was unlikely because the hotel was expected to be busy. The mixed messages were disappointing. After completing the hotel’s guest feedback survey, everything changed again. The Hotel Manager personally asked to speak with us, apologised once more, extended our checkout and kindly offered us complimentary lunch or dinner as a goodwill gesture. We didn’t end up using the meal, but the gesture itself meant a lot and showed that they genuinely wanted to make things right. I also have to give a huge thank you to the housekeeping team. They were absolutely outstanding. Every single day our room was spotless, the beds were beautifully made, fresh towels were left and every afternoon we returned to that lovely fresh smell. They work incredibly hard and are a real credit to the hotel. As for the resort itself, it really is a fantastic place for families. The three swimming pools are excellent, the grounds are beautifully maintained, there are shops and a supermarket on site which are really convenient, and there is always a great atmosphere around the complex. It’s easy to see why so many families return year after year. My only real criticism is the arrival experience and the communication between reception teams. A room that hasn’t been cleaned should never be allocated to guests, and once an issue has been reported it needs to be properly handed over so guests don’t have to explain everything again the following day. What impressed us most was not that a mistake happened, because mistakes can happen anywhere. It was the way the Front Desk Manager and Hotel Manager chose to deal with it. They listened, they cared and they went out of their way to turn what could have been a ruined holiday into one we genuinely enjoyed. If the hotel can improve those first impressions and communication between departments, I honestly believe this would be one of the best family resorts we’ve stayed at. Thank you to the Front Desk Manager, the Hotel Manager and every member of the housekeeping team. You turned a very stressful start into a lovely family holiday.

We went for a week and it was a great place, pools entertainment and got to see the world cup final spain won! Points I would improve, the apartment was ok, but not entirely clean, there was muck on walls and the sofa bed was dusty and very uncomfortable, also air con was temperamental, also I recommend having a parasol on each table on balcony/terrace, one thing that also puzzled me wasthat the hotel enterance is completely open, no doors or security, meaning anyone could just walk in and use the pools,gym etc without paying?? Very odd, would love an answer to that. As I saw no wristbands being checked, apart from this it was good, accommodation 3/5 facilities 4/5 Food offering 4/5 overall a good week, with the beach just across the road too, 👌 😎
