Just home from a week stay at the hotel. We had a great time. We did bed and Breakfast. Couldn’t fault the food we had. We ate at the pool bar a few times and food there was excellent with good choices. The rooftop bar is fantastic and a must if staying here. The cocktails are amazing. Rooms are basic but everything we needed for our stay. The pool and bar area was lovely. The staff are great at this hotel always friendly. Maxi Isabella and Elliot stood out. Both lifeguards Juan & Gorge were great and helped people in anyway they could. But special mention has to go to Frankie who does the pool entertainment. He was excellent. The atmosphere around the pool was brilliant. From bowls to bingo and quizzes for the adults and there was a running mat in the pool for children. He was missed on his days off. Can’t wait to return.

Just back from 10 days at La Barracuda Hotel. The Hotel is in a prime location , with the beach right outside the gate. The best part of this hotel is the staff, so friendly and welcoming the bar staff Elliot, Isa and Maxie go about and beyond to make you feel welcome . Frankie the Entertainer in the hotel is absolutely the best, we have stayed in this hotel 6 times over the last 3 years and this year was by far the best . The atmosphere around the pool area was brilliant, Frankie got everyone involved in the activities and made out stay so enjoyable . Can’t wait to book here again . Excellent experience .

“Horrible history”

Descent hotel. Great views. Great location. Shops,bars, restaurants near by. Beach is right across the promenade. Bus stop nearby. Swimming pool is a good size. . Restaurant food is ok at best. Typically buffet style. Rooms basic but fits the bill. Get a room with a side view. . Good luck.

“Wheelchair Unfriendly.”

I have to say all staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Good was good most days although the staff at the show cooking would sometimes be doing other things through the back. I have to say all staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Good was good most days although the staff at the show cooking would sometimes be doing other things through the back. This was my first experience pushing a wheelchair on holiday, I should have had L plates and I must say this hotel is not suitable for wheelchairs. The entrance is cobbled and the kerbs had raised bits on them which I crashed into several times. Not good for the wheelchair user. The disabled access into dining room had no outer handle so had to depend on other hotel users opening the door. We were told staff would open door but we were fortunate there were so many helpful guests as staff were often busy. The garden exit is on a slope and it is extremely difficult to control a wheelchair and open the gate. The weather was not our friend the week we were there with heavy rain and there is no way to access the entertainment area without going outside and to access toilets from here meant another trip outside. We had a push wheelchair and were able to access lift but I know that motorised chairs were too big. We did not have an accessible room as the wheelchair was a new and temporary need for the family member although the room she had was large enough for it. Heavy rain meant that the roof leaked and despite the dance floor being in use there was no attempt to dry the floor. I would return to this hotel just not with a wheelchair and not at the start of end of season as entertainment wasn't great although it did look better from Good Friday.
