was twice to salou last year,stayed in the golden port the first time but decided to try the avenida in october,very impressed,everything from the rooms, sevice ,and food was on par with the golden port,really enjoyed our stay,we are an older couple,it is a family hotel with plenty of kids ,but no problem with that whatsoever,read reviews about kids running amok and fathers staggering about,never witnessed any of that when we were there so dont know why people say that.would certainly return to the avenida or the port again,only thing that let us down a wee bit was we upgraded to the golden all inclusive whitch means you get everything on any of the food and drink menus but they kept running out of certain wines and spirits,you are paying a good bit more for this service so you should expect it all the time,so would not upgrade the next time,but we will be back

We stayed here as a family of 4 on a half board basis right at the end of August and into the first week of September. Our room was a premium pool view room and from the moment we arrived the staff couldn’t do enough to help. Initially the TV wasn’t working but they very quickly had this fixed for us, and fixed one of the bedside lights. The rooms could do with a little more in the way of hooks to hang things like towels etc but this was our only comment for improvement. The level of cleanliness throughout the hotel is superb! Our room was kept immaculate by the housekeeping team and you couldn’t fault their attention to detail. Pools are great although not heated and we really liked that the kids pool was right by the adults so everyone could enjoy the space. We’ve stayed in hotels over the years from little b&bs and very basic places right through to 5* and luxury cruise liners, and I have to say the quality of the food was excellent! Considering it’s a buffet offering for breakfast and dinner the food was really great and varied as well. The hotel isn’t so big that there’s a scrum at the buffet or for sunbeds so this was a big bonus. One thing I would say is that this is very much a family oriented hotel which for us was perfect travelling with 2 children 6 and 9. We booked directly with the hotel on their site so got a great price and we’d stay again in a heartbeat. Thanks so much to all the hard working staff at the Avenida!

We’ve been first time in this hotel, and that was really great time for us. Room was clean, but a little loud at the night, that wasn’t so bad, it’s explained by the first floor. The room was really amazing if you are travelling with a kid, so you and your child can be separated and have a privacy. The hotel area was so great, clean and cozy. Was a lot of activities for kids and adults. We had all inclusive, so we’re happy with food and drinks. Pools was great, as for kids as for adults, was really close to the beautiful beach, and shops and restaurants. Also, we had challenging time with a kid, he had a nausea and sickness, so receptionist helped us with taxi and hospital, so was really nice ‘cause we didn’t know Spanish.

My husband and I spent a week H/B at Golden Avenida Hotel ,and to be honest, we went in not expecting much because it was a good low-cost value break. We were more than surprised just how nice this hotel was. The rooms were clean, and although not ultra modern, it was nice, we had a nice view of the pool, 2 bedrooms, fridge, and microwave , which was great. The food was also good and a really good selection. People say the food is cold/ warm, but by the time you have selected your food and walked around the buffet, it would be just warm, but all was good. The only moan is that the corridors are really noisy with children constantly running up and down screaming and letting the children mess with the buffet food, which we didn't like. This should have been supervised for hygiene reasons. One more complaint was the children's entertainment went on far too long, till 10pm ! The hotel is around 8 minutes' walk to the bars and restaurants, which was good. I would definitely recommend this hotel for families with children because it's more geared to that, kids will love it. Think we would stay again for a budget break. We had a nice time all in all.
