Perfect location, atmosphere buzzing, very good, value for money, staff absolutely friendly, helpful and professional. “Pleasantly Surprised”

First visit to Tenerife and was nervous of staying at Laguna park 1 after seeing so many negative reviews. Arrived 10,30 pm and pleasantly surprised to see a clean, spacious apartment with kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge as well as separate bedroom. Not a cockroach in sight!! Nice size balco… more

First visit to Tenerife and was nervous of staying at Laguna park 1 after seeing so many negative reviews. Arrived 10,30 pm and pleasantly surprised to see a clean, spacious apartment with kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge as well as separate bedroom. Not a cockroach in sight!! Nice size balcony, yes on a busy road (we were in the 2 storey blocks) but overlooks the sea, with lovely sunset each night and mountains to side. Rooms could do with air conditioning as heatwave when we there, it had 2 large fans. Floors could do with a sweeping brush and like or at least a sweeping brush. Pool is better than some, although as usual in peak season, put your towel out early to bag a sun bed and parasol!! Food is okay, not best in world, but not worse either. We could always find plenty for us. Dining area is small for the amount of people but you can eat outside. The staff were so friendly and efficient. It’s a difficult job to keep on top of everything and have to deal with ALL types of guests, especially the ‘Brits abroad’. It’s not hard to make a little effort and a polite ‘Hola’. Show some respect for the difficult job they do. I just wonder why some bother going abroad and then expect the same as it is at home. We heard many complaints, and some just seem to want everything for nothing. No this is not a 5* hotel but is value for money. If you want 5*, then pay 5* prices. Rooms are good Pool is good Staff are excellent Child friendly with kids sports entertainer. Shout out to Wena - you do a hard role !! Would definitely return

The hotel itself is very clean, the pool is excellent and accommodated everyone without feeling crowded and the all inclusive food and drink options had a good range and there is always something tempting! Maria Antonieta went above and beyond every day to make guests at the pool bar happy. Her smile made everyone else smile too! The only criticism was that there is no air conditioning in the disco bar but this didn’t affect our stay much as we enjoyed our rooms balcony of an evening. Overall we loved our stay and would book again- plenty of bars, shops and restaurants nearby the hotel and also no mosquitos!!!

Good Value 3-Star Resort in a Great Location We stayed here as a family and, overall, had a good holiday. It’s important to remember this is a 3-star resort and, if you book with realistic expectations, it offers reasonable value for money. The location certainly helps, and being in Tenerife means you’re already off to a good start! The rooms appear to have been recently refurbished and felt bright and fresh overall. The only part that looked a little tired was the patio door to the balcony, which could probably do with replacing. Although we were all inclusive, the kitchenette looked perfectly adequate for anyone staying on a self-catering basis. There isn’t any air conditioning in the rooms, but the ceiling fan was a real help. We also took a small travel fan, which made sleeping much more comfortable during the warmer nights. Housekeeping was every other day, with the room cleaned and fresh towels provided each time. We found this perfectly adequate and the room was always kept clean. Although the décor around the apartments and pool area is a little dated in places, everything is well maintained. It may not have the modern feel of some newer resorts, but it certainly doesn’t feel run down. The hotel itself is split over two levels, with reception on the upper level and the main bar and pool area below. It’s a straightforward layout and easy enough to get around. The pool area was one of the better parts of the hotel. Despite visiting in August, we never struggled to find sunbeds, although they are the non-adjustable type. The pool itself was clean throughout our stay, but it’s worth knowing that it becomes very deep in places, reaching around 2.5 metres. The pool area was generally well looked after, and any litter we noticed tended to be left by other guests rather than being due to a lack of cleaning. The pool bar serves food during the day, although the ordering system can be a little slow, probably because it caters for both all-inclusive guests and those paying as they go. The soft drinks from the pool bar were also consistently quite flat. There is a table tennis table by the pool, while the pool tables are located inside the main bar area. Food was probably the weakest aspect of our stay. The restaurant itself isn’t particularly large but, surprisingly, it never felt overcrowded. I assume that’s because not everyone staying at the resort is on the all-inclusive package. Breakfast was easily the best meal of the day, with a decent selection available each morning. My only slight criticism was the mushrooms, which were either tinned or had a noticeable garlic aftertaste—not really what I’d choose first thing in the morning. The toaster also deserves a special mention for taking longer to brown a slice of bread than it seemed to take to choose a new Pope! Lunch was generally better than dinner, and the freshly made pizza quickly became one of our favourites. I was strangely disappointed to discover it wasn’t available on the Tuesday we fancied it most! The snack bar by the pool was also useful if you didn’t want to return to the restaurant, and the burgers were a particular hit with my son. Dinner, however, was disappointing. The choice felt limited, and because our group included both a vegetarian and someone with coeliac disease, we often struggled for variety. There was always something available, but compared with breakfast and lunch it definitely needs improving, particularly for guests with dietary requirements. One positive was that, during our stay, the hotel installed air conditioning in the main restaurant. It made an immediate difference and showed they are continuing to invest in improving the facilities. Evening entertainment takes place indoors in the main bar area. There may well be a reason for this, such as local noise restrictions, but during August it became very warm without air conditioning. We found it too uncomfortable to spend much time watching and felt the entertainment would have been much more enjoyable outdoors. A special mention should go to Maria behind the pool bar, who was always friendly, welcoming and happy to chat. She was a real credit to the hotel. The small shop attached to the hotel is well stocked and reasonably priced for everyday essentials. However, the gluten-free selection is very limited. We found the nearby Mercadona supermarkets had a much better range, which is worth knowing if you’re travelling with someone who has coeliac disease. The beach is only around a five-minute walk away. There are quite a few steps on the most direct route, but ramps are available for anyone with limited mobility or using a pushchair. Once you reach the beachfront there’s a great selection of bars, restaurants and shops, and we also really enjoyed the coastal walk towards Playa de las Américas. The Wi-Fi worked well around the pool and public areas but didn’t reliably reach our room in Block C, so coverage may depend on where you’re staying. Overall, we enjoyed our holiday, although that’s probably more a reflection of being in Tenerife than the hotel itself. The accommodation was comfortable enough, the pool area was pleasant, the hotel was clean and the staff we dealt with were friendly. The food, particularly dinner, was the biggest disappointment and is the area that would benefit most from improvement. If you’re looking for a luxury all-inclusive experience, this probably isn’t the place for you. However, if you want a clean, reasonably priced 3-star base in a good location and are happy to eat out occasionally, it does the job.
