We had an exceptional stay and truly did not want to leave. From the Koh Samui restaurant to the Lombok pool, every part of the hotel felt thoughtfully designed and relaxing. The three heated swimming pools were fantastic, and the complimentary activities, including Tai Chi and cocktail making, added something special to our time there. The spa was a real highlight of our stay. The facial was exceptional, leaving my skin feeling refreshed and revitalised. The treatment room itself was just as impressive, with a stunning view overlooking a peaceful water fountain, which made the whole experience even more calming and immersive. We only stayed a few days but found ourselves completely immersed in the experience, rarely leaving the hotel at all. The peaceful atmosphere stood out, from the gentle sound of frogs in the evening to the beautiful koi carp pools and lush trees surrounding the grounds. We arrived needing a break and left feeling completely refreshed. A genuinely calming and memorable experience.

Although this is possibly the most beautiful hotel I have seen with beautiful bedrooms, pools, food & charming staff there is one thing I cannot fathom. Why is there no music in the evening ? Every night I had to leave the hotel after dinner (when I didn't want to leave the hotel) to find some entertainment. I know the ethos is zen but if children screaming can pierce the tranquility then surely a classy singer in a corner of the site would only enhance the stay. Also the hotel shut for a conference while I was there cutting our trip short, very frustrating. That said an almost perfect hotel let down by the dull evenings where only one bar on the massive site opened & no music/ents were an option

This is a good property, possibly very good ………. but certainly not a great one But to arrive at that statement I need to examine exactly what Asia Gardens is. Its position inland from Benidorm is nothing to brag about, and its views of the sea are blighted by Benidorm itself. The property is large, in large grounds (that are delightful). It encompasses a hotel, several pools, a Spa and a sizeable Conference Centre - and I think the Conference Centre is what causes it to struggle as a true luxury hotel or resort. I’d compare to a large Hilton, in lovely grounds. As a hotel it feels somewhat impersonal, too large for its own good, especially when it’s not even near full in June! It has many restaurants, but be aware that even in June only 1 of the feature restaurants would be open each night - so your choices are actually limited, and it’s pot luck on whether the restaurant/s you want are open on the nights you want or during your stay. Similar story for the 3 bars the hotel appears to have - we only ever found one open at a time in the evenings! The bars and breakfast (utility buffet) restaurant are large - too large to feel remotely “warm”. Conference delegates are kept separate from the hotel during the day, and dine in the evenings in dedicated facilities, which is good but it also leads to a sense of being in a wilderness sometimes. Surprisingly for a property with a sizeable Conference centre, the wireless network and internet connection was wholly unreliable, frequently disconnecting and dropping. Even when working the speeds were slow. We could not depend it during our stay. Apparently it’s a known problem in the area! The food is mainly good, (albeit not spectacular), in the restaurants we were lucky enough to be open on each night we stayed. The staff throughout the property were good, and always tried to help. The handful of “challenges” we experienced during our stay were dealt with by the Management team - I got the impression they wanted to right anything they reasonable could. The property is part of the Leading Hotels of the World program ……….. but it is certainly not one of the leading (best) hotels in World, Europe or even Spain, IMO. I’ve given this property a star rating of 3 out of 5, because it didn’t deliver what we wanted (a high end, quality, intimate experience), but depending what others are looking for they may well rate it higher. So my advice is just to be clear about what you want / don’t want, and make sure this property meets your needs and ambitions.
