Let’s not beat around the bush, the hill is a killer. All rooms are up a very steep hill from reception that is a decent workout in the Thai heat, especially. Other than that, we got picked up in a taxi boat from the pier and the workers were very helpful getting our cases on and off the boat. The reception area is right on the beach and have its own area of the sea cordoned off for use. Room itself was ok. Bathroom is a bit dark and old. We had a front room with a view of the sea and think this made us like it a lot more and if we had one of the other bungalows facing the back of someone elses, we would not have scored this as high. Overall we enjoyed the ‘non traditional Hotel’ vibe from here when visiting phi phi.

This could be a great hotel and I can see why it has some bad reviews but really don’t let that put you off. The location is a bit out of the way but that can be a good thing, the views are stunning and apart from the pool being closed, the restaurant below average I can’t fault it. My room looked as if it had been recently renovated and was quite fresh but the aircon unit was a bit noisy. Fresh water every day room made up and cleaned every day. Was disappointed at the pool being closed and I do agree with some other reviews that the team of staff working here do seem a bit young but they were always friendly and I have no complaints. I don’t have any gripe about the walk to my room up a steep path it is what it is for the stunning views from my room and they were stunning. I loved my stay here and would possibly return I would certainly consider it.

Bayview has an amazing view wherever you walk. The beach, palmtrees, and the monkeys in the trees. Just wow! Great service with free transport for us and the luggage with longtail boat from the pier. Also helpful after check out. But the hotel looks like its about to shut down. Dirty and old interiored rooms. The sink, mirror and the shower in the bathroom, looks like it hasnt been cleaned for at least a month or two. The whole resort looks very worn and old. The reception was depressing and withouth any form for decorations. The «bar» only contained a fridge with singha, chang and a couple of soft drinks. Pretty OK pizza from the restaurant, served on the beach. They offer some sunbeds and sacco chairs, but they were out of both beach towels and normal towels when we was there. The reception is unorganized. There is almost none information around, and its not so easy to understand different concepts of the resort. The surroundings are so beautiful anyways, and the resort is placed in a paradise area. Restaurants and shops pretty close. We stayed at a room with ocean and beach view. Would love to stay here again, but it must be after a renovation. This hotel has an amazing potential, it can be an amazing resort in the future, but for now it looks like its about to shut down, any time.
