We stayed at Six Senses Yao Noi with my wife and our two children (9 and 12), and the experience was nothing short of heaven on earth. From the breathtaking scenery and incredible villas to the warm, attentive service, every detail was exceptional. It was one of those rare places where the whole family-from adults to children-felt completely relaxed and spoiled. The grounds are among the most beautifully established we've ever experienced. The lush tropical landscaped forest, originally established in the late 1990s and impeccably maintained ever since, creates a truly breathtaking oasis unlike anywhere we've stayed before. What makes the resort even more special is how seamlessly these natural surroundings are integrated into the villas and surrounding communal areas. We were fortunate enough to stay in an Ocean View Villa, which offered more than enough space for our family of four. The villa featured thoughtful and beautiful finishes, generous indoor and outdoor living areas, a generous private plunge pool, and countless spaces to relax and unwind. Despite the resort's maturity, the villas have been exceptionally updated and extremely well maintained and are presented immaculately clean. The combination of luxurious accommodation and the lush natural environment made our stay feel both indulgent and deeply connected to nature. The service was exceptional, with GEM Khun Sunday providing outstanding, personalized attention that made the stay seamless and effortless. Staff across all restaurants were consistently warm, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming, with remarkable attention to detail. The dining experience was outstanding throughout the resort. The Hilltop impressed with spectacular views, unforgettable ambience, and exceptional cuisine. Living Room maintained the same high standard, while Nithan delivered what was arguably the best Thai dining experience we have ever had, blending traditional flavors with a modern approach. The resort also excelled with creative cocktails, an excellent wine selection, and consistently five-star food, leaving no faults to be found in any meal. An unforgettable stay that exceeded every expectation. Thank you to all the wonderful management and staff at the Six Senses Yao Noi, thank you for making our stay so memorable. We can't wait to come back... next time for longer!

Wonderful hotel. Great food and dining options. The views are also insane and they have really beautiful special touches like bird houses in names of regular clients, gifted us personalised luggage tags when we left, there were special day rooms for when when we arrived before check in or checked out hours before we had to leave which I had never encountered yet in another hotel. It was our honeymoon and they left us so many nice notes, treats, decorations for the occasion and even gifted us an in room private dining experience around our villa pool. We also happened to be there during valentine’s and they left us cute hand written valentines notes in our rooms with nice drawings on them and hosted a wonderful valentine dinner. They also had a cute happy honeymoon sign on our door and I could see they did that for all guests thar had occasions which I found wonderful! Everyone had a sign with a different illustration… Congratulations, haooy honeymoon, happy birthday, happy anniversary! They celebrated any and all occasions for guests My only negative comment is that coming from previously staying at six senses samui, the breakfast options are very weak and basic at Six Senses Yao Noi. Hotel guests LOVE a good hotel breakfast specially when paying premium prices… At Six Senses Samui there were different flavoured energy bowls everyday, Thai Toasts, someone hand cutting mangoes all morning… the options were very nice and varied and local. It wasn’t the case at Yao Noi

“Close to Perfect”

The resort is perhaps not as pristine or well-equipped as some of the top-notch resorts in the Maldives (for example), but it is nevertheless magical and luxurious. The view from my villa was hypnotizing and the villa itself was spacious and comfortable - I've rarely seen anything as extensive and well-designed. The food was marvellous as well, especially at the Thai restaurant (Nithan) and service was of course excellent. My only slight regret was the language skills of some of the staff - my "GEM", for example, was hard to understand, and she was a bit overworked (I think she had 8 people to take care of, whereas I've seen resorts where the butler has only one or two families to look after). The other minor problem was the beach: not really great for swimming and not at all accessible at high tide (though you could sit on the lawn). All in all, a wonderful place with wonderful people. I hope to go back.

“The View Is Still Five-Star. The Resort No Longer Is.”

Several years ago, I gave Six Senses Yao Noi five stars. I returned expecting nostalgia; instead … I am a regular Six Senses guest because its formula is exactly what I crave after busy London life: nature-led, rustic luxury, traditional wooden villas, private pools and uninterrupted ocean views. The scenery here remains the undisputed star. Phang Nga Bay has aged magnificently. Unfortunately, parts of the resort have not. Rustic can still be polished. This time, the property felt noticeably tired and dated rather than deliberately understated. Our Deluxe Ocean Pool Villa was spacious, secluded and wonderfully atmospheric, with a large deck, outdoor shower and complete privacy. However, basic updates are overdue: ageing power sockets and switches, dated shower heads with slow water pressure and television, and a ceiling fan that the cap appeared to be coming loose. None of these improvements would compromise the resort’s natural character; they would simply restore the “luxury” part of rustic luxury. The arrival experience also felt more like the opening scene of The White Lotus than heartfelt hospitality: management and staff assembled at the jetty, smiles delivered, box ticked. Our assigned GEM—Guest Experience Maker—did not appear, and another employee handled our arrival. Our villa was understandably not ready before the official 3 p.m. check-in, and a day room was provided. However, at 3 p.m., our GEM was occupied elsewhere and again did not appear. A question raised to this staff member during check-in remained unanswered the following day; when we asked our GEM directly, she bluntly said the other staff member would “get back to us.” I thought the entire point of having a GEM was not having to chase the rest of the jewellery box. The general manager greeted us on arrival, then disappeared from the series entirely. A brief presence at breakfast or dinner would have made the welcome feel more genuine and less ceremonial. Food was generally excellent, particularly the Thai cooking. Nithan, the Southern Thai restaurant, was delicious, although it only opens on alternate evenings with The Living Room. The mosquito-repellent incense occasionally overpowered the food while apparently failing its only job as we were still surrounded by flies attracted to the lights. Breakfast remained a highlight, especially the à la carte menu. The buffet selection felt more limited than at other Six Senses resorts, and the noodle soup was rather sweet for my taste. The complimentary all-day ice cream, however, was an excellent touch. Even the spa disappointed, which genuinely surprised me given my consistently good experiences with Six Senses. My massage felt procedural rather than attentive as though each stroke, pressure point and movement was being completed from a checklist rather than delivered with care. Six Senses Yao Noi still occupies one of the most spectacular settings imaginable, but spectacular scenery should not be expected to distract indefinitely from ageing facilities and increasingly mechanical service. The resort needs renewed attention to details and heart felt hospitality - of course not all staff are like that. The restaurant staff are all very friendly and helpful. Thankfully, Phang Nga Bay views remain eternal.
