This was our second week in Ao Nang, we had a pool access room which was great, direct balcony into a long pool, our room had ladder style steps which were quite difficult to use on way out, some rooms had stone steps into pool, I would book those next time. Plenty of sun loungers were available for the whole week we were there. They were not the most comfortable but had parasoles and tables which was great. Pool bar staff were all lovely. Food ordered from pool bar appeared quickly, we enjoyed 2-4-1 cocktails in the afternoon happy hour. Rooms were a bit basic no proper wardrobe just a rail and no drawers so had to live out of suitcase for the week which is a bit annoying, the fridge/minibar was in a cupboard I would rather have a cupboard for clothes. Tea/coffee facilities and free drinking water provided, shower was good. Air con was good. Location was great as close to bars restaurants and night market, beach over the road was lovely and longtail boats to Railay go from here, amazing sunsets over beach. Breakfast was not good very chaotic not a great selection didn’t really enjoy it at all, it let the hotel down, more Indian food than anything else, which makes sense as many Indian families staying.

My initial rating was 3. Upon arrival my husband and I both felt the place was unacceptable. It definitely grows on you. Positives. Close to the beach. Close to the night market and Close to a lovely little are of bars and food places which are good value and tastes great. Great breakfast. Lovely staff. WiFi works well. Calm atmosphere Comfy bed Tea and coffee making, bottled water. Hairdryer, big shower. Working air-conditioning Cleaning daily.( i am not sure of the last time our shower screen was cleaned properly though ) Rooms not too small A large pool, kids pool and swim up area which everyone can use. Lovely garden area. Not so positives. Decor feels quite dated. Air con and bedding smelt musty. No wardrobe and therefore the room quickly feels untidy with clothes and belongings all over the place. A big lack of sun loungers , lots of people comment on this. There is a big area here where a lot more loungers could be put which would stop towel wars. Big pool is really warm use the kids bit or swim up to cool down The balcony on garden view rooms is small with no chairs. We asked reception for 2 chairs and they brought 2 straight away. Overall I would go back. As has been said before by other reviewers, the place grows on you.

I want to preface this by saying the hotel has great potential and is positioned in a fantastic location. In addition, staff are so helpful and truly cannot do enough for you. However, the hotel rooms are very outdated - think early 00’s. There isn’t a wardrobe - only a rail with 4/5 hangers so we lived out of our suitcase for 5 days, the bed is really uncomfortable (I know this is personal preference but it was literally rock hard). There is no balcony furniture which is unlike anywhere else I’ve stayed - normally there is a couple chairs for guests to enjoy the balcony. The aircon is really good and there is also a ceiling fan which helps with air flow too. However the room is just generally outdated. We also encountered a flood in our room late one night - we returned from dinner to find the floor almost entirely flooded with an inch of water. We didn’t know the source of it, so rang down to reception who sent someone immediately, however a young boy turned up with 2 towels (I had said on the phone that the water was coming out of the bathroom and had gone all the way along to the balcony doors). An engineer was called immediately who changed the bidet gun as this is where water was coming from. The two staff members then used towels to mop up our floor, which we were so grateful for. Breakfast is chaotic - it is not a suitable size for the number of guests in the hotel. Food very quickly depletes and is not replenished quick enough to deal with the demand from guests. This is also a very family friendly hotel - if you have small children it would be great, there is a shallow kids pool which is a really good size and a deeper pool which is great for swimming, however we were woken up most mornings to a child somewhere along our corridor screaming their head off - not the fault of the hotel necessarily, but the walls must be paper thin. All in all, we are grateful for the location as it allowed us to explore Ao Nang and visit the Landmark Night Market which was great, but if we were to return to Ao Nang we would choose different accommodation and we wouldn’t recommend for couples.

Good location short walk to the beach, night market & restaurants. All staff were friendly, polite & helpful, checkin process was easy. Gardens were well cared for. Three good size pool's. Being set back from the main road the hotel was very quiet. Nice atmosphere around the pool. On arrival we asked for two more pillows & more coathangers which arrived very quickly. The buffet breakfast had a good varied selection. The lady which attended to our room daily was excellent, friendly & polite & kept our room clean. The dining area where breakfast was served across from reception wasn't a pleasant dining experience was more like a cafeteria. The dining room & outside eating area for breakfast was very dated. The corridors to the rooms was very un inviting & dull & at times a strong smell of sewage. We certainly didn't feel the room should classed as a superior room. The room was small, not enough storage facilities for yours clothes, overall the rooms need to be completely updated & modernised. The shower room was good, except for the glass wall in the shower, if one of us needed to use the bathroom at night it woke the other one up due to the brightness of the light shining through. Aircon was good, WIFI good. We noticed some balconies had no chairs, some had one, very few had two, we feel that two chairs on the the balcony should come as standard. Beds were comfortable. The bedroom furniture wasn't modern, it was all very dated, the table, blue pole seating area was a waste of space & could have been put to better use for storage. There are not enough sunbeds or parasols around the pool or garden for all the guest to use. We feel all the staff within the hotel are doing the best they can with the facilities on offer to provide guests with a good experience. We definitely would not stay at this hotel again due to the issues raised. We have stayed in two other hotels over the last three weeks a four, three star & have had a very good experience in both & would consider staying in both when returning to Thailand in the future.
