My husband and I stayed at the Phulay Bay, Ritz Carlton in February 2024. We booked the 'Ultimate romance' package which included a lovely trip to Hong Island on a private long-tail boat where we got to enjoy a picnic on the beach. The package also included a couple's massage and a unique private dining experience. The Ocean Pavilion, where we stayed, was a sanctuary of serenity, boasting breathtaking views of the Andaman Sea. The lavish accommodation radiated elegance and comfort, providing the perfect backdrop for our romantic getaway. However, what truly set our experience apart was the exceptional personal service provided by our dedicated host, Habib. From the moment we stepped foot on the property, Habib ensured that every aspect of our stay was tailored to perfection. His attention to detail and genuine warmth made us feel like royalty throughout our entire stay. Even the hotel's checking in process, which was done in the villa upon arrival as there is no reception or lobby, was a truly unique experience. Habib, you really made our trip extra special and memorable. The only slight inconvenience we had was regarding limited halal food options at breakfast, compared to other Ritz Carlton resorts we have stayed at. This was concerning for us, however upon expressing our concerns to the attentive staff they graciously provided a few halal breakfast options the next day ensuring that we could fully enjoy our dining experience without any compromise. The spa was empty on both days that I used it so it felt like my own private spa. There are lots of different relaxing treatments to choose from and the spa facilities are clean and well kept. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is a manicure. I don't think the staff member was qualified to do a professional manicure but otherwise a lovely experience overall.

We had a fabulous 9 days here and the service levels were second to none. Everyone did their best to make us welcome and a particular thank you must go to Habib who was our “butler” and helped arrange anything we required. He organised trips, restaurant bookings and taxis whenever we asked and when our return flight was cancelled he helped contact the airport and airlines to sort out our new flights. The resort itself is well laid out, the restaurants superb and the pool was the best I’ve ever enjoyed. Would recommend a visit !

The most amazing resort and people We stayed here for the relaxing part of our longer honeymoon. We stayed for 5 nights. I can’t express how fantastic this resort is but I’ll try to capture some of the things that made our stay the best ever. The hotel grounds are an oasis and the views of the sea and little islands are breathtaking. We were appointed a personal host (they refer to them as Butlers) - Kuhn Jake - who made sure we had everything we needed, he delivered things we liked without us even asking such as a bucket of ice, lemon slices and tonic for our afternoon G&T. He was happy to take photographs for us as we went about our activities. He also provided us with sweet treats in the evening and he was generally our go to best friend on the trip organising dinner reservation, helping us plan adventures and activities and letting us know when there were events happening in the hotel. We could want for nothing. He buggied us around the hotel and collected us whenever we popped out. He even looked after me when I was feeling unwell, ran us a gorgeous bath with flower petals and candles. He provided us with a bottle of honeymoon sparkling wine and arranged for me to get a gluten free pizza on our stay (which was AWESOME). A lot of the eating we did was out and about as we told the staff and drivers that we liked to ‘eat like a local’ and they recommended great eateries with loads of locals and great food. The hotel is gorgeous and our villa with pool and little garden just elevated the resort experience. We also enjoyed hanging out at the other large pool with swim up bar with a special mention to Kuhn Lif who looked after us and had a great personality. In fact all of the staff took amazing care of us everywhere we went with a smile and a welcome. All of the staff continuously went above and beyond to ensure we were having the best stay. The hotel has two nice restaurants (Thai and Seafood), a wonderful breakfast buffet, and a great lunch menu by the pool. We also did a cooking class with the Hotel’s chef in their food and herb garden and made a delicious three course Thai meal - we learned so many tips and hints and the class was really fun and informative. We’ll never be able to eat a bought Thai curry paste again after making our own! We also took advantage of the complimentary trip to Hong island which was beautiful. If you are lucky enough to stay at this hotel you will have the absolute best and most relaxing fun time. If you are debating with yourself whether to book this hotel or not, do it, just do it as you will not regret it. There’s also plenty of opportunities to travel to other parts of Krabi like Ao Nang, Krabi Town and Railay Beach.

What an absolutely incredible stay! This resort is so gorgeous and serene. We had the most relaxing few days in paradise. Our butler, Habib, was so attentive to our every need. We didn’t have to lift a finger, Habib took care of everything for us, and he was so kind, always. My mother had mentioned that she was used to have railings on the stairs and would be nice to have more light near our villa at night. Well Habib must have heard her mention this and when we returned from dinner, they had built her a railing and brought in a big light so she could see better! The restaurants were delicious and severs were knowledgeable and always helpful. Everywhere you go on property people are so kind and say hello. Gardeners will stop what they are doing to greet you. This top service was so incredible, we are spoiled now - it will be hard for anywhere else to compare to this experience! We hope to come back and will request Habib!
