We had a fantastic time at the haven. Wonderful staff. Food was varied and lovely. Right on the beach in a pool access room. Great fun with friends. Not a lot open in town to eat at but would recommend 8 fish restaurant around the corner. Loved it and great change from Patong beach. Craig

If you want a peaceful and laid back holiday, the Haven hotel is the one for you. Rooms are spacious and clean and for a small price you can upgrade to rooms with swim up pools. Set between a secluded sandy beach and a palm tree forest, the adult only Haven has the spa, the big pool, and the gym so all your recreational needs are covered. What makes this resort so wonderful is its staff. Fahas greets you first, efficiently dealing with your luggage, handing you over to Kieran at reception who efficiently checks you in and explains all you need to know about the hotel. In low season, breakfast is served buffet style, with Aemon at the stove, ready to make eggs any way you want. They bread is fresh and the pastry’s are mouth watering. Lunch and dinner are from the menu, which has plenty of options. The chefs make several amazing Thai curries as well as stir fry’s and noodle dishes. If you want western food, there’s pizza, pasta and a burger. What’s fantastic, is that there’s no waste. The food is made to order so it’s always hot and tasty and portion sizes are just right. The girls that serve you are amazing. Nothing is too much, they’ll do everything they can to make you feel special. A huge shout out to Shiva, Nisha, Pinky, Simran and Bowy. The excellent customer service skills these girls have should be the industry standard. I’ve traveled all over the world and can say hand on heart that these ladies all deserve the highest praise for their warm and generous hospitality. Not to forget the boys, Raju and King at the bar bring you the most amazing drinks. One is quiet and respectful and the other is the fun joker. Between them, you’re sure to work your way through the extensive drinks menu. As we went in July, which is the monsoon season, we often found ourselves caught in short sharp bursts heavy rain, so stairs and walkways can get slippery. The staff do all they can to dry the public areas but those with mobility issues like myself will struggle with all the wet stairs. The curtesy bus to town or the market is a must. You get 2 hours to wander around and haggle over your souvenirs. If you need more time, take the first bus at 2.15pm and come back in the second bus at 6.15pm All in all, the Haven may not be a shiny new hotel, but it has a quiet luxury. It’s clean, comfortable and welcoming. If you ask for an extra towel or an umbrella at reception, by the time you get to your room, housekeeping are there with your item and a huge smile. The staff know just how to make you feel special and it’s that dedication to excellence that makes the Haven such a special place.

“Relaxing hotel”

This hotel was excellent, staff friendly and helpful, rooms clean , food good although menu a little bit small , maybe cause it was low season, beach right on doorstep ,a hotel just to relax at
