We had a lovely 10 day stay here. Very relaxing, chilling out by the pool. Very clean room with tea/coffee making facilities and also a fridge, which was a real asset. We arrived here after having stayed in a right dump down the road. So relieved to see our room which boasted two large beds, a decent sized bathroom and a nice storage area for luggage once you had unpacked. Room had a tv but the channels were rubbish and what was there wasn’t really tuned in properly. I know you are possibly thinking ‘Who goes on holiday and watches tv?’ I do during mosquito hour as I suffer with bites. So I need to be inside for a while whilst they are at their worst. Air conditioning was marvellous and didn’t let us down. The pool area is lovely. Just lovely. There was a pump problem for a couple of days so we didn’t use it but the staff put in a great effort, once it was back up and running to ensure it was all clean again. The breakfast is good enough and is 150 baht daily if you haven’t booked it with your room. Free tea and coffee all day long. Free Tuk Tuk into Ao Nang and you make your own way back for 300 baht. There are a few restaurants near the Seashell as they only serve breakfast. Quite nice places to eat and also a 7/11 - all about ten minutes on foot, or less, depending on how fast you walk. You can buy beer, water and sandwich stuff in the 7/11 as you have a fridge in your room! They also sell a nice variety of pot noodle! So you can revert to your teenage years whilst you are there. The 7/11 has everything. There is also a pier there, running boat trips to the neighbouring islands. Railey beach is 100 baht each, each way on a long boat. Taxi to airport is 600 baht or there is an airport shuttle bus for 150 baht each. Ann on reception really is a little gem. She is always making sure you have what you need. The cleaning ladies are wonderful and will clean your room and change your sheets every day if you want. There is free water every day on site too. 1 bottle each is the rule but sometimes you can have another one. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff at Seashell. They are wonderful people and I thank them for making our stay so lovely.
