Hotel Kartago is nice, staff is nice, but I will pick up the animators. They are very nice to people of any age. The food is also great, a large selection.

Coach transfer is about 90minuted but when you arrive the facilities and location are great. This is right on a beach, white sand, shallow waters or you have a huge pool. Coach transfer is about 90minuted but when you arrive the facilities and location are great. This is right on a beach, white sand, shallow waters or you have a huge pool. Sunbeds are available but get them early - it’s not quite sunbed wars but don’t expect to come to the pool at 9 to find any empty - they are generally reserved from 6am , some don’t even bother with towels -a pair of shoes or even a branch seem to suffice Hotel is 95% French , but they have really upped their game (based upon other reviews) to accommodate the Brits - main hotel bar staff really want to speak English - same can’t be said about the reception staff especially the grumpy older man who works there! Animation team are outstanding, Titi and Kalou - best we’ve come across they really work hard and try to involve everyone but no pressure , this is one of the best aspects , add the huge outside pool , cleanliness of grounds and the beach. The all inclusive beer - well you won’t get drunk Wine is drinkable although you can purchase bottles at the bars Water is filled from water stations Rooms are traditional but spotless so well done to the staff Grounds are vast and well kept Beach towels are available from reception at a 10 dinar deposit but you have to pay to exchange for clean ones Not many Brits here but we were / are so lucky that our small number all met up and our holiday has been massively enhanced through this Yes the French are culturally different they don’t like to queue but the odd elbow here and there puts that to bed (😉) Beach bar /club is nice but you have to pay and the staff are miserable which probably explains why it’s always empty Food is hit and miss , still cannot work out why a restaurant that opens at 7pm has cold food? As our fellow Brit called it … ‘a canteen’ and we have to agree Meat tends to be under cooked , or over cooked but generally cold 😂 Desserts all look great but taste the same regardless It’s a good hotel , some staff excellent others grumpy sods but the grounds , beach and pool are exceptional For the price it’s worth it
