The staff are a credit to this hotel Samas, at the bar especially. I have never been to an hotel with such helpful happy staff the food was traditional Turkish, by far the nicest food I’ve had in an all inclusive hotel it was delicious. The drinks weren’t great they were very weak I’m not a big drinker but enjoy a cocktail now and again you couldn’t taste any alcohol in any of the drinks. The hotel isn’t a 4* more like a low 3 but we didn’t pay 4* prices the room needed a lot of attention. I found the rabbits and other animals to be upsetting and didn't like walking past them far too many in such a small cage this is cruel hence why I’ve not given a 5* review. Over all the staff were amazing, the food was delicious, the hotel was clean. Would I come back again probably not as the area was just a little too quiet for me but that’s personal preference.

We were a group of 50 somethings from London having our annual gals trip away. We chose this hotel because it looked small and friendly. We had a mixture of double rooms ground floor by the pool and a-two bedroomed apartment first floor. We were able to check in early which was good. Reception staff were welcoming and friendly. Rooms were adequate size and the air con was fierce which we needed in 34 degree heat. The walls however ARE thin . Snack bar by pool serves pizza and chips not much else. Ice cream is served for an hour each afternoon. Dinner was pretty good…no complaints. The pool was ok for one day but we decided to walk into Bitez promenade and were approached by the staff at Manuelas hotel who invited us to spend a day on their beach and have lunch. It was excellent and great value …..we were told Paloma had a stretch of beach but we couldn’t see it and knew there was no bar or food there. The layout was nice with bougainvillea and lilac trees. Breakfast was self serve in a nice restaurant. The choice was varied and fresh . The staff team is young and a bit inexperienced,the bar staff and waiters needed a bit of training. The worst thing at Paloma is a hutch containing approx 20 rabbits of all diff sizes crammed together panting in a tiny space shoved full of grass. AWFUL. We could not look at them ….they are on a pathway as you walk to the restaurant. Cruel and unnecessary….we had no clue why they were there unless as a food source. We were told the manager” likes them” ?. We fed some of the cats and kittens who were crying for food but to be fair there was cat biscuits down , possibly from tourists but as usual no water so they were drinking from the pool. Not great to see if you are an animal lover. We used the spa at Ambrose hotel 2 mins walk away……very nice .
