Every time my husband and I visit D Maris Bay, we feel compelled to leave a review because every stay gives us another reason to fall in love with this extraordinary place. No matter how many times we return, it never stops surprising us. Of course, the breathtaking location is unforgettable. Nestled on a spectacular, unspoilt peninsula, surrounded by crystal-clear waters and dramatic mountains, it is one of the most beautiful places we have ever visited. But what truly makes D Maris Bay exceptional is that it combines the beauty of nature with something even more special – its people.I believe the reason so many guests return year after year is not just because of the stunning setting, but because of the warmth and genuine care shown by every member of staff. Somehow, they remember their guests, their preferences and even the smallest details from previous visits. That level of personal attention doesn’t happen by chance. It reflects outstanding leadership and a culture where everyone genuinely cares about creating unforgettable experiences. Our previous visit was in October 2025, and before we’ve even unpacked from this trip, we’ve already booked to return in September 2026. This time I will be bringing my sister as a birthday gift. I want her to experience this little paradise for herself and to enjoy the exceptional hospitality that makes D Maris Bay unlike anywhere else. There are so many wonderful people who make every stay memorable, and they all deserve to be recognised. What truly makes this place so special is its people. Rojda Bulut, the Front of House & Operational Excellence Manager, always greets us personally when we arrive and again when we leave. She is always impeccably presented, remembers every guest, seems to know exactly what everyone needs, and makes sure every detail is taken care of. Then there is Ms Pinar Kurt, the Spa Manager, who makes every spa day feel magical and unforgettable. Engin, our waiter, has become like our personal waiter over the years. He remembers all our preferences, always goes the extra mile, and genuinely cares that we have the best experience possible. Yiğit Çetin makes the most wonderful jasmine green tea from Melez. Every morning, as we sat in the lobby, he would bring us this little piece of heaven. It became one of our favourite daily rituals. Muhammad Aslan, from the Lobby Bar, always made our evenings special. We loved sitting on the terrace watching the stars, and his warm conversations made those moments even more memorable. A special thank you to the lovely Büsra at Reception. One day I casually mentioned that I had seen another guest with popcorn and wished I could have some. The hotel didn’t even have popcorn available, so I thought nothing more of it. Imagine my surprise when I returned to my room to find a bowl of freshly prepared popcorn waiting for me. To this day, I still don’t know where she managed to find it, but that thoughtful gesture perfectly sums up the incredible service at D Maris Bay. It wasn’t about the popcorn—it was about making a guest feel cared for. İhsan Geçkin, the owner of the hair salon, makes every customer feel welcome and valued. Ayşe, the manicurist, is exceptionally talented and provides a manicure to an incredibly high standard. I would happily recommend both of them. Don’t assume that because this is a holiday resort the salon won’t match what you would expect in a city—it absolutely does, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable. A heartfelt thank you also to Yusuf at DD Scoop. Enjoying an ice cream while watching the sunset became one of our favourite evening traditions, and Yusuf always welcomed us with a smile. Finally, I believe everything that makes D Maris Bay so special starts with its leadership. Alexander Engelman, the CEO of D Maris Bay, impressed us not only because he took the time to personally speak with guests and sit down for a friendly chat, but because of the respect and kindness he showed to every member of his team. Great service always starts from the top, and it is clearly reflected throughout the resort. One member of staff who particularly touched us was Yaşar, who has mobility difficulties and works with lighter duties in one of the restaurants. Seeing him welcomed, supported and valued as an important member of the team speaks volumes about the values of D Maris Bay. It shows that this is a company that genuinely cares about people and believes everyone has something valuable to contribute. For us, D Maris Bay is far more than a luxury hotel. It is a place where memories are made, where every visit feels even more special than the last, and where we are welcomed not simply as guests, but as old friends returning home.
