Hotel is spotlessly clean and very friendly. Rooms basic but leaned every day with very friendly housekeepers. Pool kept clean with plenty of sunloungers. Bar staff are lovely. Only 2 things let it down for me. The food was very repetitive, and by day 4, I stopped eating at the hotel. There are plenty of cheap places to eat. Also, there were 3 days of rain, and the only hotel bar is outside! If you decided to stay in the hotel, you got soaked going to the bar! The hotel is central to everything so excellent location. Reception staff just can’t do enough for you, especially the lovely Anna! I will return to the hotel, knowing the food situation, and just eat out. The Red Lion, right next to hotel is brilliant, and cheap enough with delicious food!

“Lovely stay”

My millionth time in Turkey. 2nd time in Içmeler. 1st time at verde. When we arrived we got greeted and got given our key (we were on the 5th floor). We went to our room, small but basic, I don’t come on holiday for the room. Nice little balcony above the red lion bar. I found the food in this hotel very nice! I’m used to Turkish food so I can take to it well, as the majority of it is Turkish. Lovely desserts. Choice of drinks from a machine such as orange, pineapple, cherry juice, tea etc. Other drinks such as Pepsi, lemonade, alcohol are served at the bar. I can’t comment on alcohol as I don’t drink it but lemonade etc is all good! Staff are very nice and work so hard. Always there if you need them thanks to Anna for always being approachable and always looking very smart with a smile. Would love to say a big thank you to Jayjay (Turkish bath) and Taner (hairdressing/tattoo) such lovely people to get along with that they do not hassle you at all. Because they didn’t hassle, in my own time I went for a Turkish bath which was lovely and got a cover up on a tattoo. Had some great laughs with Jayjay and Taner. The first hotel ever I’ve been to where there was no sun bed wars! No reserved beds at an early time which was great! I do have some negatives to say about this hotel (this has not affected my holiday in anyway, I am in no way of bringing this hotel down. In fact I am hoping that speaking of some negatives that a few things can be sorted) Cleaning of the rooms. We had a cleaner round everyday. Towels were changed every other day. Not so much the floor towel though. Bins in the room always changed. However the floors never ever got cleaned. Build up of dust and hair. Even the same on the balcony too. Not swept or mopped. No smell of freshness. Sink and toilet wasn’t cleaned (we stayed at verde for 4 weeks - in those 4 weeks no disinfectant, sweeping, cleaning was done) I know people work very hard and I don’t expect my room to look like a palace and I don’t expect it to be swept or mopped everyday but it went a long time without a sweep etc. Would just like to point this out as I really do like the hotel and it’s sad to see just these little things not getting done. Also, sometimes if I was in the room I’d have do not disturb on, yet cleaners would still come in, so they should check before entering! Pool area. In previous hotels at night I’d see people going round, cleaning the pool. This pool was a little misty, I saw bits of dirt whilst swimming in my goggles. I did see a man coming and putting chlorine in the pool (which is great) but that should be put in when the pool is empty not when people are still in it. This pool has a jacuzzi area and it was bliss, but it wasn’t on enough. It was off more than it was on. I normally sat in the same area around by the pool and I saw (what looked like) spilt coffee it was there for a good week or so then I saw it getting mopped. Again, staff are already working hard as it is but I do find beds should be moved on a night and the area hosed down with a squeegee. Another thing to report (and really this is not the staff) whenever I went to the bar for a drink they would always ask me “pool side or restaurant?” Pool side drinks got poured into a plastic cups, restaurant into a glass. I’ve seen many guests take glass to the pool side which one day caused a tiny little fragment of glass in my foot which I got out easily but still shouldn’t be having this round by the pool. I reported this just for the sake of others and Anna did try her best. Then a few days later whilst on the sun bed I spied another bit of glass on the floor and reported it before someone stood on it. I genuinely think rules should be stricken for the use of glass down by the pool. There are no stairs to the 5th floor, they stop on the 4th! There is a lift that does the job but it very slow and if you come to it and the doors are closing, they will close on you! You have to be carful with that. Turkish night was very good with Turkish belly dancer and halay. This hotel is in a great location. Great supermarket over the road, a place to book any excursions such as jeep safaris etc. I enjoyed my time here. Any places you stop in will have negatives regardless! My negatives aren’t to bring the hotel down, just these few adjustments should be done. In the 4 weeks we were here, we never met our rep once. Luckily though we didn’t need him/her. Thank you to the staff for all your hard work. We looking to come back next year.

Me and hubby booked the verde hotel as quite a late booking, read the reviews and thought it cant be all bad! Well stayed here 10/09/25 for 10 days first impressions where small hotel surrounded by bars, check in was quick and was pointed to the lift to our room, steps up to lift which wasn't the easiest when you have heavy cases! Lift is small can hold 4 adults only or 2 with cases, got to our room which was smaller than expected with one hanging rail & 5 hangers so take some with you, also inside the wardrobe on the bottom is a fridge with 1 bottle of water in it. There is a cupboard with small shelves instead of drawers for clothing and 2 small drawers on the desk. Bed ok we asked for extra pillows which we got the next morning and only came with 1 bed cover which I ended up getting another as I got cold during the night. Bathroom was walk in shower not the best never that hot, toilet & sink ok hairdryer on wall and another socket which when I used for my own hairdryer as I pulled out the plug the socket came out from the wall just hanging! Explained this to the service desk who got someone to push it back in!! Room was clean enough, but in the bathroom the toilet paper holder kept falling of the wall as it was just stuck on, opposite our room facing the back of hotel was a Irish bar which had loud music untill 1.30am sometimes later I didn't mind the music when we was in bed as I listen to music when at home but if you like it quiet when going to sleep then dont go for the back of the hotel. TV had 1 English channel that was news. Room was cleaned most days well say cleaned but definitely wasnt hoovered and towels were changed daily if you put dirty towels on the shower floor. Bins changed daily. Rest of hotel was clean. FOOD.. First morning we went to breakfast and was quite surprised as hardly anything left (it was 9.30am) there was baked beans, fried eggs, (shrivelled)chicken bacon & turkish sausage, tomatoes,bread, salads,vegetables, 2 cereals to choose from, fresh omelette and pancakes. There was no continental..pastries, croissants, cheese & ham, ect . This was the same everyday. Lunch not to bad chips,turkish pitta, fish chicken in sauce lots of salads & vegetables and dinner was basically the same, what i did notice was that they didn't replenish things so when something was finished it was gone! Also i saw the chef replenish the beetroot but added new on top of the old instead of putting a complete fresh bowl out, also on two occasions I got what I thought was fish gougons ( labled fish) only to find it was chicken!! Puddings was better but once had chocolate mousse whip which wasnt set and drinkable! We ate out quite a bit as you could imagine. DRINKS was ok but not much choice only had beer, vodka, gin, raki & rum along with cola, orange, tonic ect and 2 cocktails which were crap tbh. Pool area was good pool had nice jets at one end so like sitting in hot tub without the heat. Entertainment was 1 night a week with belly dancers nothing else. There was a bar called red lion attached to the hotel that served plenty of cocktails and good food incl full English. If you were staying at the hotel you would get 10% off all food & drinks. I found out that they actually cook the food in the hotel kitchen! Just a way to make more money. The hotel in general is quite dated but clean, bars across the road facing called blues brothers was great food was good and drinks good price. The area is good plenty of bars shops and beach nearby. Would I stay here again ..definitely not unless they got new chefs better drinks menu.

“Not suitable for people with walking problems, too many steps.”

Stayed at Verde Hotel for 10 nights. Great location, clean and tidy. Unfortunately was not impressed with the food. The only thing that was hot at meal times were the plates and if you don't like chicken then you will struggle. The food really wasn't geared for the British pallet. I have never stayed at a hotel where you have to climb 5 steps to get to the lifts, it is not really suitable for disabled people. The pool area was well maintained but for safe. There was a step ladder plus steps to walk in. Unfortunately there was no rail until you had stepped down 2 steps. I saw 3 people fall whilst trying to get into the pool. I was to say a special thank you to Anna, who was front of house and really helpful and friendly. Also Svetlana on reception who went the extra mile to help us when the Tui Rep hadn't let us know what time our transfer was. Good night in the Red Lion with 10% off bill if you stay at this hotel.

This wasn’t our usual type of hotel that we stay at but it was cheap enough and thought we would give it a try. Yes we had read the reviews but i always try to go with an open mind. Arrived late at night check in was swift and easy. We were a little taken aback with the bars around the pub but we knew about the red lion but not everything else. The photos are a little misleading . Room was clean on the small side, not much storage space but you don’t come on holiday to stay in the room. No point in the balcony funny shape and unable to sit comfortably so no point for table and chairs. Beds were ok linen and towels all fresh and clean. Food wasn’t great in fact worst we have ever had for all inclusive. I can pretty much eat anything but nothing looked appealing, it was cold, not much of each variety and tended to not refill very quickly. We managed to eat a decent breakfast, lunch was usually a salad and some form of chicken dish. Evening meal was pretty much left over lunch put into sauce. Desserts were appalling. I don’t pay for sliced Swiss roll with either chocolate sauce or jam spread on top. Drinks were your usual all inclusive local stuff. Bar service was good. Bar man was polite. Restaurant staff were miserable no conversation at all. We did end up eating out quite a bit at some amazing restaurants at very good prices. Pool area was a bit untidy. Padded cushions for the sun loungers some were disgusting and dirty. I do hope they are washed at the end of the season. Again photos deceiving as layout of the pool is completely different and not in a good way. Entertainment being adult only hotel there is never much but had a Turkish belly dancer and Turkish dancers. They did try but not good standard. The local bars had better entertainment and something different every night. They welcome the custom. The beach area is very untidy and the cushions are no cleaner than the ones around the pool. Only a few sunbeds. The young man arrived around lunchtime and does not really do or help very much. Considering there is no bar or drinks facility at the beach I would rather pay for a sunbed from one of the many bars who own part of the beach who have toilet and shower facilities WiFi and drink and food to purchase. The hotel is in general needs a refurb parts look very tired and worn. Anna the manager is the most pleasant and polite member of staff. We definitely wouldn’t stay here again. The holiday was cheap enough, the bars around it didn’t really cause us any inconvenience with noise for me it was the food that really lets it down the reviews that day food is amazing must know there are much much better levels of all inclusive .
