I went for 7 nights with my mum, the location was perfect. We used public transport a lot as the bus stop was right outside. Shop, bars and beach all within walking distance. The staff were all absolutely lovely, the restaurant manager Mescut was lovely, always greeted us with a smile, found nice area for us to be seated, also brought coffee to our table, always smiling, could not fault him at all. When we checking in we were given a family room overlooking the main street, which were were more than happy with. We then were surprised by an upgrade to a swim up room, that was absolutely amazing. The hotel was very clean, nothing was too much trouble for anyone. I would 100%recommend this hotel. 😀

This was all of our first time in marmaris and also Lalia Blue and WOW is all I have to say.. I will be back. From the moment we arrived at the hotel, we were instantly made to feel welcome. Reception staff and bell boy were quick to get us checked in and to our room. Rooms were immaculate, modern and super comfy beds. Fridge filled with water and plenty of storage. Hotel comes with a hairdressers on site, who does an amazing job! I had my hair washed, conditioned, cut and dried exactly how I wanted it.. as well as getting a pedicure done too. Anil works super hard everyday.. you’ll see him all the time round the pool area giving out complimentary fans&the the best deals possible, as well as always being smiley.. so defo treat yourself whilst there!! The entertainment team.. they were amazing! Joey, JJ, Dj (don’t know his name) and newest member angel work super hard to ensure all guests are happy, all entertainment in the day is switched around so no day is the same, always smiley and make sure every night everyone is enjoying themselves. They are a credit to this hotel! Lastly the managers, chefs, kitchen staff, bar staff, etc.. the work endless ENDLESS hours to ensure us holiday makers have everything! The main manager, he’s amazing and was just so full of life. I couldn’t recommend more and I cannot wait to come back!! Highly recommend!

“A Great Return Visit, But a Few Frustrations”

After having such a great stay last year, my partner and I decided to return to Lalia Blue Suites for another 7-night holiday. Overall, we had another enjoyable stay, but there were a few things that have left us considering somewhere different next year. A few weeks before arriving, we contacted the hotel to upgrade to the private plunge pool room that we had stayed in last year. The upgrade was confirmed and a price agreed. Unfortunately, when we arrived there had been a booking issue and the room wasn’t available. We were given a few different explanations, which was a little confusing. I would have preferred if the hotel had simply been honest and said a mistake had been made. These things happen. The staff did arrange for us to move into the upgraded room the following day at the agreed price, so although it was frustrating after arranging it weeks in advance, it was resolved. The plunge pool room is still a fantastic room and, in my opinion, worth the extra cost if your budget allows. It now has a larger TV and a coffee machine, which are nice additions. If you’re considering booking one, I’d still recommend reading my review from last year as most of my thoughts remain the same. My only suggestion would be to make the outside seating feel a little more premium. There are two sun loungers but only one chair, which feels a little odd for a room designed for two adults. Two chairs would make it much more comfortable to relax together. The biggest disappointment for me was the sunbed situation around the main pool. Every morning from around 5am onwards people were reserving sunbeds despite the hotel rules stating that this isn’t allowed. During our stay I never saw those rules enforced. Thankfully this didn’t affect us because we had our own plunge pool, but if we hadn’t upgraded I think we would have found it quite frustrating. There’s little point having rules if they aren’t enforced consistently. This is one of the main reasons we’ll probably choose a different hotel next year. Food was absolutely fine throughout the week. I’m not a fussy eater and always found plenty of choice in both the main restaurant and the snack bar. I don’t drink alcohol, so I can’t comment on that, but the soft drinks were always available and there was plenty of water throughout the day. A special mention has to go to Mesijt, the restaurant manager, who my partner and I nicknamed “Uncle Bob” during our stay last year. The nickname just seemed to suit him and has stuck with us ever since! He genuinely cares about his guests and runs the restaurant to a very high standard. The service from him and his team was excellent, and he is one of the nicest people you’ll meet. The housekeeping team kept our room spotless every day. The lady looking after our floor didn’t speak much English, but she was always smiling, polite and did an excellent job. The bell boys also deserve a mention. They were friendly, welcoming and very helpful both when we checked in and when we moved rooms. The entertainment team seemed friendly enough, although I didn’t spend much time around the main pool because of our room. From what I did see, they appeared to interact with some guests more than others, although that’s just my own observation. I also think the YMCA song was played a little too often throughout the day and evening, but that’s just personal preference. The indoor pool surprised me slightly as I was told it was for relaxing only and not for swimming. If that’s the hotel’s policy then that’s absolutely fine, but I had hoped to use it for a few lengths during the day. The Wi-Fi worked throughout our stay but did slow down noticeably during busy periods. I suspect this is simply because lots of guests were using it at the same time rather than being a fault with the hotel. Finally, I’d like to thank the hotel for once again recognising my birthday. Just like last year, I received a bottle of wine, fruit and a birthday card, which was a lovely gesture and very much appreciated. I don’t expect gifts when I’m away, so it was a really thoughtful surprise. Overall, Lalia Blue Suites is in a fantastic location, the staff are welcoming, the rooms are clean and the plunge pool rooms remain a real highlight. While I’d still recommend the hotel, especially if you book one of the premium rooms, I do think a little more consistency in enforcing the hotel’s own rules would improve the experience for everyone.
