For stopovers and short stays its a nice hotel with great reception staff and welcoming. Room was quiet, and breakfast was nice open buffet. For stopovers and short stays its a nice hotel with great reception staff and welcoming. Room was quiet, and breakfast was nice open buffet. Last time i stayed here was 3 years ago and to come back in 2026 i saw that the entrance had changed to the İstinye Park mall side. Parking available which is good. Overall nice city hotel with mall access handy. Price wise was ok but used their app which gave a better rate.

I had an outstanding stay at the Grand Hyatt Izmir IstinyePark. The hotel is beautiful, exceptionally clean, and maintained to a very high standard. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely committed to providing excellent service. The location is perfect—right next to IstinyePark Mall and surrounded by fantastic restaurants, yet far enough from the busiest traffic to provide a peaceful and relaxing stay. It made getting around Izmir very convenient while still enjoying a quiet environment. I especially want to recognize the front desk team for their warm hospitality and professionalism. They made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived and ensured everything went smoothly throughout my stay. I travel frequently for business, and this is one of the best hotel experiences I've had. I will definitely be staying here again on my future trips to Izmir and highly recommend it to both business and leisure travelers.

“Excellent Hotel With A Few Service Shortfalls.”

Had a confusing late night arrival due to recent change to location of the “front” door - and throughout our stay cars/taxi kept taking us to the now locked rear entrance. But otherwise, our check in went smoothly and the staff was pleasant and professional. The hotel has nicely appointed rooms with excellent views from its upper floors of downtown Izmir across the bay. We had a tasty if slightly on the expensive side lunch at the hotel restaurant, though in the end excellent service there prevailed over any pricing doubts. The spa facilities and staff seemed excellent as well, along with a fully appointed workout room with free weights, resistance machines and aerobic equipment set up so as also to enjoy the bay views. The small outdoor pool and associated bar are adequate for a quick cooling dip or a bit of reading under the shade of an umbrella, but not much more. There were two things that really threw us, however. First, housekeeping tidied up our room each day - but always at around 4PM. Which typically is about a half hour after we had returned from a day trip of exploring Ephesus or wandering around the agora and grand bazaar near downtown Izmir. So returning in mid to late afternoon to a still as yet unserviced room was frustrating. And any thought of relaxing in our room in the afternoon became untenable knowing there would likely be a knock on the door and our only chance to get our room cleaned that day was at around 4PM. Second, there seemed to be no concierge at the hotel. As a call for a recommendation and discussion about seeking local artisan/woodsmith shops to visit in search of a hand made tavla/backgammon board was met with a promise of recommendations being sent via WhatsApp, but no actual follow up. And a check-in about that promised message with the front desk later in the day resulted first in confusion, and then a statement from the desk clerk that the hotel does not have a concierge. So long story short, despite a positive attitude and willingness to provide excellent service, at times either because of the English-Turkish translation issues or just general confusion on who does what, responses to questions or servicing non-standard requests can be lacking. Other features of this hotel include ready access to InstinyePark, a mall of high end stores/brands and many food/dining options right next door. As well as an adjacent tram stop for easy and inexpensive access to downtown Izmir. All in all, the Grand Hyatt Izmir is a nice stay but with a few strange service shortfalls. Earlier housekeeping and a concierge fluent in English and/or other languages in addition to Turkish would be all it takes to move it into being a top notch accommodation.

It was good overall, but as Globalists we expected more. The Grand Hyatt Istanbul is better in terms of restaurants, drinks, and service. Some restaurant staff members were rude, and we noticed them making fun of clients. They also charge extra for mimosas, even for Globalist members. That said, the concierge team was fabulous and extremely helpful throughout our stay. The room was wonderful, and the view was spectacular. We also think the lounge experience could be improved by offering a small fridge with complimentary drinks and coffee for Globalist guests.
