“Staff friendly and hotel beautiful”

The inside bar is lovely. The hotel is beautiful, staff are very friendly and hotel is very clean. The food could be warmer at the buffet restaurant. Starbucks was a great added touch.

Firstly on a positive note we found the staff extremely pleasant and hardworking. It’s just a pity there were not more at the bars and Starbucks - more later First impressions were favourable. The public areas were spotless and we were quickly checked in and luggage delivered to the rooms while we went to the late night snack bar. From there it went downhill Rooms - although spacious they weren’t cleaned too well. Beds were made daily but that was about it. Only when we complained was a proper clean carried out Pools - we were only at the family side but the pool was not big for the number of guests. This was made worse when they had two activities on at the same time in the pool. These were adult only so left little space for families and kids. Areas round the beds were not cleaned daily with spilled drinks still there for a couple of days. Bins were provided but not regularly emptied (until we complained). My wife slipped going over the bridge one evening because it was slippy. She was ok in a couple of days but was disappointed that there was no follow up despite customer service being aware Entertainment - was a mixed bag with some good professional shows. Was nice to have one night with bouncy castles etc for the kids Bars - good selection of branded drinks in the lobby bar however this was a distance from anything. Only local drinks at the pool bar during the day and evening when the entertainment was on. Staff were good but generally only one on shift so often long queues Starbucks - again nice option but needed more staff Food - perhaps the most disappointing aspect of the holiday. There was always plenty selection if you liked cold meals. Even at 7 in the morning first in for breakfast the fried eggs were cold. We were told that there had been many complaints and I’m not surprised. We even tried the ala carte and was served an overcooked steak on a bed of cold potato and rice. How can freshly prepared food be cold ? All in all we enjoyed our holiday because we were there as a family but would not return to this hotel or recommend it to any of our friends or family
