My husband and I travelled from Scotland for our first trip to Turkey and stayed at this hotel for a week. We had a lovely time overall, especially with the incredible views from our sea view room overlooking both the pool and the beach, absolutely stunning! That said, while we enjoyed our stay, we wouldn’t rate this as a true 5-star hotel. It’s more in line with a 4-star, with a mix of positives and a few areas for improvement. Rooms The rooms are clean, modern, and comfortable- especially the beds! We had a front-facing room with spectacular views, but be aware that it comes with a lot of noise. The hotel is situated between two other resorts, and each one has its own evening entertainment. Combined, it felt like being at a music festival- great energy, but definitely loud if you are after a quiet night. It does quiet down by around 11:30 PM though. The hotels night entrainment wasn’t the best ( to us anyway) again rarely in English. The orange county ( hotel next door ) theirs sounded great- super lively! The day entrainment looked great fun though! Some small quirks in the room: -The mini fridge is stocked with soft drinks, but there’s no bottle opener, so bring one with you. -Coffee/tea is only replenished once, and you only get one sachet of each—frustrating when both of us wanted a coffee. -There were also no spoons provided, oddly enough. Food & Drink The food was consistently delicious! -The main buffet restaurant does serve a fairly similar selection each day (as expected), but it’s all well-prepared. -The snack bars were a great alternative- one with a menu-style lunch service, and others offering kebabs and pitta-style options. -Drinks were semi decent too. Prosecco was a nice surprise, and the cocktails were made fresh, which we appreciated although often ran out! That said, service at the bars was extremely slow, and many times we were told drinks had “finished” even in the early afternoon. It felt like they were simply running out of ingredients and not restocking promptly or just couldn’t be bothered. Also, drinks were sometimes served in odd glasses—wine in plastic cups, beer in tumblers—despite the proper glasses being visible behind the bar. Just ask and they’ll usually swap them. Location The location is fantastic—right on the beach. We enjoyed long, relaxing beach walks daily (wear shoes). Just a 5-minute walk from the hotel is a small market mall, which was great for picking up clothes bags shoes etc. Airport is 50 mins max away! We booked a transfer through Ella’s cars which was only €35 each way! Had WiFi , tv , drinks and everything in the vehicle. There aren’t many bars or restaurants nearby, but that didn’t bother us since we packed a lot into our days and enjoyed staying in during the evenings. We booked several excursions through our rep, which were brilliant: zip lining, go-karting, white water rafting, and a Turkish bath/spa morning. The only one I’d say to research a bit more is the Turkish bath—an interesting experience, but I wasn’t completely sold on it. Tip: If you’re planning to visit Land of Legends, it’s about 25 minutes away. The theme and water parks are great, but the evening show wasn’t worth the extra trip back. It would’ve been better to stay after the park closed, wait until it got dark, and enjoy the ambiance then—unless you’re keen on high-end shopping or pricey dining. Hotel Tips & Observations -English isn’t widely spoken among the staff, which is fine, but it made it hard to get clear answers to questions like how to book the à la carte restaurant or arrange late check-out. -Speaking of the à la carte- book this early! We missed out as it was fully booked. -we found some ‘guests’ quite rude... This may also explain why the staff sometimes came off as curt—it’s understandable, but still disappointing when it affects all guests. -There’s a good selection of water sports, which were fun to watch and try. - The beach is a little rocky, so water shoes might be a good idea Final Thoughts Would we stay here again? Probably not—but that’s not to say it was a bad experience. It just didn’t meet 5-star standards in our opinion. If the hotel marketed itself as a 4-star, expectations would align more realistically, and guests might come away more impressed. Still, we had a great holiday overall and are glad we chose Turkey for our first visit—it’s a beautiful country with so much to offer!

We stayed in a Garden Promo Double Room, which unfortunately didn’t match our expectations. There was no balcony, and we hadn’t seen any pictures of the room before arriving. The double bed only had a duvet that didn’t even cover the whole bed. The door didn’t work properly — it took us three tries to get in, and we could only lock it using the key card. I guess the one good thing was we were right by the pool, but this wasn’t ideal come the evening as there were a lot of people who stayed up until all hours, which meant walking past our bedroom and knocking on the door. The bar staff were quite unhelpful at times, often just saying “no” to simple requests like a cocktail which was on their menu? Even a lemonade she wasn’t sure what that was? It seemed like they didn’t understand, particularly at the bar by the pool in the mornings and afternoons, although things did improve when different staff members were on shift. The food wasn’t great. At dinner, if you went too early there were no seats available, and if you went too late the food was cold. The fresh chicken at lunch and dinner was good, but breakfast was very questionable — one morning I had an omelette that was more oil than egg. There wasn’t even a working toaster. There was also only one member of staff serving food outside and one behind the bar, which really wasn’t enough when it got busy. I’m not always a great eater, but my boyfriend isn’t fussy at all and even the food for him wasn’t great. The swimming pool was freezing, and there were no balls for the pool table. Communication was quite difficult as an English couple because most people spoke Russian. We also weren’t given any information about the facilities — no map, no signs, nothing to tell us where things were, so we had to figure it all out ourselves. I didn’t even know where we could get towels, so spent the entire holiday without one. Even booking a taxi I had to use Google translate to get someone to book me one. On the positive side, the hotel is right on the beachfront and close to a small town with a few shops, and not far from the golf courses we wanted to visit. The entertainment team were very good — friendly, welcoming, and not at all pushy. Overall, though, I wouldn’t return to this hotel.

We stayed for a week at Armas Life Belek. Overall, it was a mixed experience with some definite highlights and a few let-downs. The hotel itself is mostly well kept, though with a few signs of use here and there. Our room was comfortable and clean, with housekeeping good — sheets and towels were replaced daily, even when we hadn’t asked. The in-room fridge was stocked on arrival, and there was also a kettle and free safe, which were useful extras. Around the hotel there were fridges stocked with bottled water and ayran you could help yourself to, which was a nice touch. It was also good that beach towels were provided and could be changed daily, though some of them were quite well worn and really need replacing. The food was nice but became repetitive. Breakfast and dinner were much the same each day, so it got predictable. We preferred the casual lunch options — the doner, jacket potatoes, and gözleme were all really tasty, though they weren’t available in the evenings. The beach restaurant was a bit disappointing, with food often served cold. The main restaurant was brightly lit, even outdoors, which meant it lacked a cosy atmosphere in the evenings. At times there was only 1 member of staff at the bars and outside eateries causing queues which could be slightly frustrating. We didn’t use the hotel’s entertainment, so can’t comment on that, but music was played around the pool most of the day. Thankfully, the beach was a peaceful retreat with plenty of sunbeds available. The only downside was noise from neighbouring hotels — the Crystal hotel next door had very loud evening entertainment until midnight, and one day they even had a DJ on their pier, which disrupted the normally calm beach atmosphere. The hotel was predominantly Russian, with very few British people staying while we were there. Sadly, many of the other holidaymakers were quite rude and lacking in manners, which at times seemed to rub off on some of the staff too. That said, some staff were genuinely lovely and deserve a mention: Firat in the lobby bar, Nurcan at the pool bar (super speedy and always friendly), and the two men who ran the grill in the evenings — all of them made a real difference to our stay. One day there was an emergency in the sea, and the two lifeguards on the beach dealt with it excellently and very professionally. Hotel staff and doctors arrived quickly, offering the man help and treatment with great dignity. They really deserve praise for how well it was handled. We also used the gym, which was fairly well stocked and had a sign saying improvements were being made. The indoor pool and jacuzzi looked nice at first glance, but the water wasn’t heated and the jacuzzi only seemed to have one jet — it looked better than it actually was. The highlight for us was the spa. Kemal and Sara were excellent — professional, highly skilled, and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit.
