The top reviews of Sherwood Dreams Hotel are: We went as a group of 11 people. Arriving at the hotel at 11pm, we was greeted by very friendly staff and told where the restaurant was that was still open…this food was lovely considering it was gone 11pm but freshly cooked. Our room was above a generator and had a horrible humming noise, so in the morning we went to reception and without hesitation, they offered us another room and even helped us move. Room…our room was very comfortable (the most comfortable bed), there was 4 in our room, so had a double, single and sofa bed. I was worried about the bathroom situation as it is all open plan but it didn’t bother us at all, in fact it was quite nice as one could use the toilet, one the shower and another clean their teeth without affecting anyone else. Every day our room was spotlessly cleaned and mini bar restocked. Pool….you could always find sunbeds. As a group of 11, we only used 4/5 sunbeds and went down between 7.30-8.30am and never had any issues getting the ones we wanted. If you aren’t fussy they are available all day. The pool area is constantly cleaned all day, though it is slippery! The water park is brilliant. Restaurants… we could not fault the food at all. The main restaurant had a good variety and the food was cooked at stations behind where it is served so if it does run out, it is quickly replaced. The Turkish was nice but the Italian was the best. The pizza house at lunch is a big hit and so is the “street foods”, which is served 12-4. Ice cream is available 12-4pm and dinner times, donuts 3-4/5pm. Bars…proper drinks! Bottled beers (though did find it weird that you could have glass beers around the pool). Cocktails were very nice and you could choose which brand you wanted. The lad at the bar outside the restaurant was amazing! The wave bar is open until 6am…so again always somewhere to drink. They also have bottled water and beer in fridges around the complex where you can help yourself at any time. Huge credit to the staff during the games of the World Cup, they went over and above for the guests. Because the majority of the bars close at 11.30pm and the wave bar didn’t show the game, they stocked up fridges with beers and a variety of soft drinks. For the England v Argentina, they showed the game in as many places as they could and where fridges couldn’t be used, they served cool drinks from ice buckets…this was something they didn’t need to do at all but they did! Beach….the beach is very pebbly so highly recommend using the pier and going swimming off the end, it’s brilliant. Dreamland….open 6-8pm….and is brilliant for the younger ones but queuing isn’t something heard of over there and the kids just push the not so confident kids out of the way…the animation team manage this and really not bothered. Entertainment team….they do not want to be there! They are the biggest let down of the hotel! They are grumpy and always just playing on phones. Totally disinterested in everything…except for the guy who runs the darts, he is absolutely brilliant and remembered all our names every day when playing. Also I have to say about milka (I think that was her name) we made our own water polo game up with inflatables, she saw this and brought over the water polo goals over to us as we was sitting in the same pool area of the water polo- 4 kids, 3 men and 2 other kids came to join us) This was brilliant of her…but one of the male animation team came over and had the biggest go at her in front of everyone and made her move the goals…rather than help her he just stood and watched her struggle…this ruined it for us as we felt so uncomfortable! Also the tall skinny bloke in the animation team…so rude! Our first day they played a game of finding the spoons in the water, not knowing what to do, we found one and he shouted so loud at us calling us cheats and that we had ruined it for the ones playing…all across the pool, really loud! Mini disco….only half an hour but it is enough and changes every night…these staff are brilliant with the kids! Evening show…we only went to one but wow…it was brilliant! It was an outside team that came in, they did dancing, climbing ladders and dancing in them and a freaky bloke who I don’t think had any bones in his body! Tips…do not buy from the food/inflatable shop at the hotel as it is so expensive….go for a walk to the market at the end of the road (5mins walk). But bag, trainer and clothes shop are definitely worth a visit and don’t vary much in price from the market. The market is good but you get hounded, so be strong and tell them NO!!! Overall this hotel is amazing and would definitely recommend. We would return! The serving/waiting staff are on another level here…so good!.

“Amazing hotel!”

We went as a group of 11 people. “Lovely hotel great for families”
