We had a wonderful stay at Royal Atlantis Icon. The hotel is new, modern, and very well maintained. The food was excellent with plenty of variety, the drinks were great, the beach was beautiful, and the beach bar was a perfect place to relax. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and kept in excellent condition throughout our stay. A very special thank you goes to Anastasiia from Guest Relations. My wife accidentally left her luggage in the hotel’s storage room after we checked out. Anastasiia stayed in contact with us for an entire month, making sure our luggage was kept safe until we could arrange transportation to collect it. No matter the time of day, she always responded quickly, helped us with all the administration, coordinated the handover, and ensured that our bags were returned safely and securely. Her outstanding professionalism, dedication, and genuine care turned what could have been a very stressful situation into a smooth and reassuring experience. Thanks to Anastasiia, our trust and confidence in the hotel increased even more. She is a true asset to Royal Atlantis Icon, and we are incredibly grateful for everything she did for us. We highly recommend this hotel!

“Fabulous break to Royal Atlantis icon”

I stayed at the Royal Atlantis for five days with my daughter, and overall we had a lovely holiday. The hotel is about an hour from the airport, which wasn't too bad. I stayed at the Royal Atlantis for five days with my daughter, and overall we had a lovely holiday. The hotel is about an hour from the airport, which wasn't too bad. There's a beautiful town called Old Town Side nearby that's definitely worth visiting, with plenty of lovely restaurants and shops. There are also local shops and markets just a 5-minute walk from the hotel. I had an amazing spa treatment Turkish bath it was unreal and worth the money, Actually, very good value for what I got. Our room was lovely, clean, and well maintained. In fact, the whole hotel was spotless throughout our stay. During the day there was always something going on, and the evening entertainment was excellent. The all-inclusive food and drinks were good value for money, and we were pleased with the overall standard. The only downside was the main restaurant in the evenings. It became extremely busy, making it difficult to find a table. Tables were often left uncleared and not reset quickly enough for the next guests. Another area that could be improved is allergy information. Some food items were labelled, but many were not, making it difficult for guests with food intolerances or nut allergies to know what was safe to eat. The complimentary shuttle bus to the beach club was a great addition. The beach club had a lovely atmosphere and good entertainment. The only place where service was slow was the lobby bar, where we often had to wait quite a while for drinks. However, the other bars around the resort were much quicker and never seemed overly busy. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to couples and families looking for a good-value all-inclusive holiday. The swim-up rooms looked absolutely amazing, and I only wish I had booked one!

Location: Situated at the far west of Side, so there is nothing around to do other than use the facilities in the resort (swim and eat). If you have children they may get bored quickly. There are plenty 'bazaar' shopping arcades if your up for buying fake goods, but this area does not like to haggle like other markets, so its a fixed price mostly and they wont budge. There is a very handy small bus service with a depot opposite the hotel, Bus #5 takes you all the way to Side old town for $4 for a family, trip takes around 30-40 minutes. (Kids under 5 go free) Rooms: Cannot fault the room as they were spotless being a newer hotel, with mini bar stocked daily with soft drinks only. My only complaint is the bed covers are so thin that it’s just a bed sheet as a cover, not stayed in a resort without proper duvets before so it was new to me - maybe normal for Turkey but during the night with a/c on, it does get too cold. Value: Fairly priced considering the all inclusive food and drink you can consume, plenty main brand cocktails at the pool and main bar and a vast variety of food - if you’re not picky. It does lack children’s options however. All desserts may look good but all taste the same - bland and main ingredient gelatine gives them all the same textures. Cleanliness: I’d say fair. Room wise the cleaners do a great job but around the hotel is a lot to be said.. the carpets in the hallways are already plastered in stains of spilled drinks etc. Most areas in the pool etc have drinks cups left over and take a long time to be collected. Noise level: It’s to be expected, there is live entertainment every night until around 1100pm.. though depending on your room location you may have a much louder experience to what we did (our room was luckily further away from the main stage). Service: A majority of staff are untrained in simple service skills, even at the main reception. In a tourism-hospitality industry, basic English should be a requirement, considering most of the market stall workers speak better English than these hospitality workers. Many of these workers come across as rude and unwilling to assist. They are lacking a certain love for the job “Hello Sir/ Mam” wouldn’t go a miss. Our main issue with the hotel was the smoking. Every single area of the hotel has smokers (kids areas/ dining areas/ pool areas) you cannot escape it and it’s disgusting. Ash trays should not be allocated to kids areas/ play parks and dining areas. People happily smoke and allow the fumes to be breathed in by other tourists and their own family’s with no care for others, disgusting if your a non smoker. Also a lot of people seem to lack simple queueing techniques at bar areas or queueing for the beach bus, many people just barge past and feel they are entitled. Same goes for the buffet which is full of vultures. Be aware around the pool areas, there are constant sell up personnel trying to offer spa treatments/ massages, photographs with a parrot and a very annoying local tattoo shop that wont take no for an answer (for some reason they gets access to the all the main hotel areas so can pester you where ever they like) If you have children please be extra cautious in the pool areas, our child has returned home and is now on anti biotics due to a bacterial infection caused by the swimming pools, which he had been in and out of for the past 6 days. The hotel is supposed to be 'Royal Atlantis' groups premium offering resort, it has the aesthetics appeal of somewhere fantastic but the underlying issue is staff and service. It has the opportunity to be so much more, but it doesn't live up to expectations. I've tried to give as much information and to be as positive as I can. Most of the reviews I read prior to the trip said it was a great hotel which I believed until we tried it for ourselves. Turkey as a whole was not for us, thus we would not return here again.
