Big problem is the steepness and the amount of steps. Most is set above the reception area. There is only one lift which is more like a covered cable car that runs from the reception area to the 5th level(the top). You still need to climb steps to reach this. If you are given a room in between, then you had better be athletic, young and a decendent of a mountain goat! We arrived at 2.30 in the morning and were given rooms on the 2nd level. At that time, there was only one guy to help with the luggage and so it was difficult to get up 70 steep steps lugging luggage. The room also had no net curtain and the door had been left open, it was full of black flies. We told him that we couldn’t stay there but he just said that we should rest and it will all be sorted out in the morning. After a few short hours sleep due to the flies and a mattress that felt like concrete, we went down for breakfast. Straight afterwards we went back to reception and asked for an upgrade which cost us for 9 nights but it was worth it as it was near all the amenities although still up stairs on the first floor. There seems to only be 4 ground floor rooms and a woman in a wheelchair did have one. The lower level also is the only place that has slopes as well as stairs. The lowest level is below the reception area and it is where the restaurant, beach, pool,bar etc. Fantastic views like some of the best places around the world I have been. Plenty of wildlife and just a short journey in a taxi to the centre of town which costs with a tip about £2.50 each way. Walking will take you about 40/50 mins. Food is good with plenty of fresh and great soups. Some of the stews tend to be hit or miss! It is no different to other hotel I have stayed at in the area. Staff are really helpful and Esref was great plus Gordon our ref was wonderful. Hope this review helps those who are looking.
