It being peak holiday season would fully expect it to be busy however it seems the hotel cannot function at full capacity. It being peak holiday season would fully expect it to be busy however it seems the hotel cannot function at full capacity. Most of the downfalls are partly due to guests however the hotel needs to take some responsibility. I’ve heard rumours they let other dream hotels access dream fun facilities so this could be partly relating to the overcrowding. For a hotel that is only a couple of years old it already shows massive signs of wear and tear. The hotel itself is clean especially the lobby and lounge areas, however the surrounding arrears of the resort are not, this is partly related to guests having no decency in tidying up after themselves. During our stay we also experienced multiple power cuts to the full hotel and resort which was a massive inconvenience. Waterpark is great for the children, there are a wide selection of sides for all ages. There are not enough floats for the bigger slides which causes large queues which are full exposed to the sun. The large three sided pool bar only ever has one member of staff on creating large queues just get a drink. The rules of not reserving beds with towels is ignored and some guests lay them out before 7am and don’t return until after 11am and therefore can be hard to find a bed after 9/10am. (We are early risers so not been an issue for us but seen a lot of guests complaining, staff refuse to get involved in removing towels so sometimes causes confrontation between guests when they take it into their own hands.) Another rule is food isn’t brought round the pool however guests bring their full lunch poolside and then leave the left overs at the side, there are baskets/bins for used cups however these are piled high just after midday of full cups and food and are not emptied attracting many wasps. The pirate pool and slides my children have come out with multiple cuts on their feet. The middle pool with the green and yellow slide is just dangerous my children have large bruises and some children have even ended up in hospital. Older children don’t wait for the younger children to go down the slides and just go full speed crashing into them, they don’t allow adults to go on slides with them however they are relaxed with this rule just every now and again (life guard dependent) you will get called off. At least 9 out of our 12 days one pool has been closed for a period of time due to contamination I believe fines should be enforced to stop this happening. One day all 3 pools on the waterpark were closed due to this. There is a few guests that have experienced sickness which they believe is due to the cleanliness of the pools they are supposed to close for 4 hours for cleaning however they are sometimes back open within 2 hours. The all inclusive restaurants there are lots of choice for food however it is far too busy. You are lucky to find a table, and if you do find an unoccupied one you have wait 20 minutes for it to be cleaned or multiple times we have just cleaned it ourselves. They do table service for drinks but again we’ve just gone and got our own. It isn’t the current staffs fault they are running around busy and are great, there just isn’t enough staff for the turnaround of guests to do everything that is expected of them. Evening entertainment, the Mini disco is exactly the same every evening our children got bored after night 3. The area for the entertainment isn’t big enough with enough seating. Again the main bar next to the entertainment is large 3 sided bar however only 1 member of staff and no cocktails are served here of an evening. If you want a cocktail you have to go in the lobby or lounge and you aren’t allowed to take it to the evening entertainment. Toilets are cleaned often and other than wet floors which is expected I can’t fault the cleanliness. As I said the children had a great time but for the price you pay, no sense of luxury is experienced. I would not say this hotel is 4 star and I’m actually quite glad to be going home.
