This is our third time staying at Selge, and every year our experience gets even better. We truly love coming here with our children. The atmosphere, the food, the entertainment, and especially the incredible staff make this a place we always look forward to returning to. There is always something happening at Selge, and you are never bored. This year we noticed that many areas of the resort have been upgraded, which made our stay even more enjoyable and comfortable. We would especially like to express our sincere gratitude to one of our absolute favorite staff members, Ahmet Atarkan. Ahmet consistently goes above and beyond to make sure guests feel welcome and well taken care of. From helping us find a table in the dining area to ensuring that we always have everything we need, his service is truly exceptional. What stands out most is his genuine kindness, professionalism, and warm smile. No matter how busy things are, Ahmet always takes the time to help and makes every guest feel valued. Staff members like him are one of the main reasons we keep returning to Selge year after year. Thank you, Ahmet, for your outstanding service and for making our family holiday so special. Your dedication does not go unnoticed, and we are genuinely grateful for everything you do. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

“Family friendly 5(ish!) star hotel”

A nice hotel, comfortable and many qualities of a 5* hotel but not quite with all the finishes, especially if you have visited the gulf and stayed in 5* hotels there. A nice hotel, comfortable and many qualities of a 5* hotel but not quite with all the finishes, especially if you have visited the gulf and stayed in 5* hotels there. Little things like broken bits of plaster were still visible in the hallways and upon arrival it was clear our room wasn’t fully prepared e.g no kettle. However management were really lovely and quick to assist us. Had a lovely experience overall and would recommend it to anyone who wanted to visit for a family experience where you could comfortably stay in the resort for 4-5 days, with lots to do. The staff at the desks were always welcoming and friendly, and special thanks for Figen for her professionalism with my manicure and pedicure, she wanted to make it as relaxing as possible for me. The prices are on a par with the uk- so not really reflecting local prices, but I would be paying the same if I went in the uk anyway. Overall a good family friendly place to visit.

We stayed at Selge Beach Resort from 17–24 May 2026 and overall had an enjoyable family holiday. The hotel excels in several areas: it is exceptionally halal-friendly and very clean, the staff were outstanding—always friendly, professional and genuinely helpful despite operating within what seemed to be a rather rigid system. The lobby is spacious and elegant, the décor is impressive, the lifts are efficient, and the auditorium-style entertainment venue is a nice touch. Also the hotel has a brilliant mosque. The minibar was also well stocked. Based on our stay, I would rate the hotel as follows: Overall halal-friendliness 5/5, Cleanliness 5/5, Staff 5/5, Family environment 5/5, Ladies' facilities 5/5, Food & Drinks 4/5, Children's facilities 4/5, Location 4/5, Wi-Fi 4/5, Comfort 3/5, Value for money 3/5, and Room amenities 3/5. That said, there are several areas where the hotel could significantly improve. Food: The food was good but became repetitive after a few days; introducing greater variety or expanding the à la carte options (currently limited to just one restaurant that only opens once or twice a week) would make a big difference. The main restaurant is also some distance from the main building, which isn't an issue in good weather but can be inconvenient when it's raining or windy. Spa: The ladies’ spa was particularly underwhelming. The therapist was very good, but the space itself was untidy and not especially clean or serene. A spa should feel calm, spacious, soothing and welcoming, and unfortunately this one did not really achieve that. It also seems the spa staff are externally contracted, which may explain some of the limitations, but it still affects the experience. Room: Our Deluxe Family Room (two bedrooms, two bathrooms) also fell short: despite requesting two double beds, the first bedroom had two single beds, there was no proper work desk or ergonomic chair for guests needing to work - which is important for those who deliberately choose a four or five start hotel for this, and we experienced an electrical issue, although it was fixed the following day. Other facilities lacking: The hotel would also benefit from a business centre, library or quiet study area. Many of us come with/for the sake of families but we have some work to do or catch up remotely while family enjoy. Noise issue: Finally, the music in the public areas was often excessively loud, and the nearby beachside mosque's loudspeakers could be heard very clearly, sometimes causing noticeable vibrations. Overall: Selge Beach Resort has excellent foundations and a wonderful team, but with improvements to the dining experience, room amenities including desk space and reclining/desk chairs, spa facilities and quieter communal spaces, it could easily become one of the top family resorts in the area.
