I stayed at Mary Hotels Alanya in May 2026 and overall I had a very good experience. The hotel has many strong points and I would recommend it. The location is excellent. It is very close to the main road, which makes transport very easy, and there are many shops, supermarkets, pharmacies, clothing stores, sweet shops and souvenir shops directly outside the hotel. This made the area very convenient, especially for walking out in the evening. The hotel itself is very clean. Cleaning was taking place constantly throughout the hotel and the public areas were always well maintained. My room was spacious and housekeeping was very good every day. The value for money was also excellent. I booked the hotel as part of a package holiday and felt the price was very reasonable for what was included. The hotel has many facilities, including a swimming pool, direct beach access, spa, gym, massage area, billiards and daily entertainment. The staff were one of the best parts of the hotel. Everyone I dealt with was polite, friendly and willing to help. You can see that the staff work hard to keep guests happy. The food quality and flavour were very good. The chef clearly knows what he is doing, and most of the dishes I tried were tasty. I was also given one free à la carte dinner because I stayed more than seven nights. I chose the Italian restaurant and had a very nice meal, including several starters and a ribeye steak, which was really tasty. The service in the Italian restaurant was also very good and it was one of the nicer dining experiences during my stay. The entertainment was enjoyable as well, especially the pier party with the DJ and fireworks, which was a lovely evening and one of the highlights of the holiday. I also appreciated that after check-out they still allowed me to use the hotel facilities and restaurants until my airport shuttle arrived later in the evening. There are a few areas that could be improved. The minibar is only fully stocked once at check-in. After that, only water is refilled daily, while juices and soft drinks are not replaced. For a five-star hotel, I think the full minibar should be replenished daily. The WiFi also needs improvement, as it disconnected frequently. Sometimes the phone showed as connected, but there was no actual internet access until I disconnected and reconnected again. Another issue was the food variety. The quality and taste were good, but the number of dishes was smaller than I expected compared with other five-star resorts I have visited. There was also a light sewage smell in my room during my stay, especially noticeable when entering the room. It was not overwhelming, but it was there. Another inconvenience was that only one bar serves the beach, pier and pool area together, so if you are sitting at the far end of the pier and want a drink, it is quite a long walk. I also had a small unpleasant incident on my final day while waiting in the lounge for my airport shuttle. It did affect my impression at the time. However, after I raised my concerns, the Guest Relations team contacted me, apologised sincerely, and handled the matter in a professional way. I appreciated that they took my feedback seriously. Overall, Mary Hotels Alanya is a very good hotel with excellent staff, a convenient location, good cleanliness, nice food and strong value for money. There are some areas that need improvement, but I had a pleasant stay overall and would rate it 4 out of 5.
