“Close to the Airport”

I had few hours to sleep between my two flights, so i choose Roza hotel for a short sleep.it took less than 10 min to get there and check in. the room and bathroom were big and clean, i think there was no problem witht his place.

The Hotel was nice, breakfast was ok, (I wonder how the algerians maintain their size with a light breakfast). The rooms laked a writting desk The only catch was that the eating places around are mainly prepared for the local population, but ate fairly well just outside the Hotel. I recomend visitors to buy an algerian SIM card especially if your stay is for a period of more than a week since you get a number of business cards from the locals and may nedd them at any time. Take only official TAxis though they may look expensive they usually provide better services. The Hotel is just next to the airport so one will be at the airport in no time

Spent ten nights at the Roza hotel on my second stay in Algiers. Make sure you have cash, as they don't take credit cards; you pay each night in advance; a basic breakfast and internet are included. The rooms are OK and all that is there works (the internet connection made some problems on some days, though, but it was still better than at the Ibis): Fridge, TV, bathroom appliances. There's no writing desk in the room, but that's no problem for me as I anyway prefer standing while working (just put the stool on the fridge cabinet). There's no extravaganza, though (but neither do you get that at the Ibis, although it costs almost the price without breakfast); the bathroom would benefit from a renovation (some parts on walls are rusty and there are small damages); the shower water pressure could be higher, the door locks aren't the safest (a bit like in an old movie; but there are cameras in the corridors and in the staircase and monitors at the reception), the TV offering is basic (2-3 French channels and a few Arabic programs, too). There is AC in the room, but there was no remote control (probably they take it away during the colder months; there's a heating in the room). Staff is friendly (not sure if they speak English, though) and given what other hotels (e.g. Ibis) cost in Algiers, there's nothing wrong with the Roza. The location was very convenient for me, and there are many shops and restaurants close by (so is the rail station which is just adjacent to the hotel). With some more attention to detail (see above, some renovation, some improvements and a bit more attention to detail) this place could even get four points.
