I stayed for one night, on my way to Mendoza. The Posada is located by Route 8, some 6 kilometers from Rio Cuarto (the second most important city in the province of Cordoba). The place has outstanding points: a nice rural setting, golf court, swimming pool, a nice park with trees. Importantly, it is ecologically friendly (they invested in solar panels to produce hot water and heating). It is run by very nice and friendly husband and wife (both professionals, CPA and veterinarian). Very importantly, the room and bathroom I was in is designed for people with physical disabilities. (and I suspect that the rest of them share the same features). No TV set in the room, but of course there is a big one in the living room. Unless you travel in a tour group, you should have a car (there is ample and free parking). Cleanliness is remarkable. Room and the rest of the place are very well maintained. of course you have breakfast and upon request, you can also have other meals. When you travel by car to the Posada, specially at night time, be very attentive not to pass beyond the spot where you have to exit Route 8 in order to access the Posada. Also note that when you exit the Route, the road is not paved, although there are only a few yards to the entrance of the Posada. In summary, if you wish to disconnect fr a few days in a tranquil setting, I think this could be your place.

A group of us from Esperance stayed during a tour of Argentina for obvious reasons. We were warmly welcomed and even though we were a bit late we were settled in our rooms quickly. The meal that was provided was huge and beautifully cooked by Mario on his bbq. Danielle managed to keep the conversation flowing and the well-stocked bar helped us have a great night. Unfortunately, we did not get to stay longer. This is a converted aged care facility so the beds were not the most comfortable and you needed to not press the alarm button by mistake. The showers were a bit open due I expect to the need for wheelchair/walker access. We had an extra bed in our 3 singles room so it was rather crowded but good for putting the case on.

After staying in many city hotels in Buenos Airies, Rosario and Cordoba it was delightful to have some rural hospitality with Danielle and Mario. They welcomed us like family and cooked us a beautiful Argentinian barbecue in their home on the outskirts of Rio Cuarto. There were eight couples in our group and we had a very memorable evening. Looking at the star spangled sky from the delightful garden at night was special and we got a true feeling of Argentina from this couple. Danielle's English is ok...much better than my Spanish. They put their heart and soul into entertaining us.
