“Good choice despite a couple of issues”

We were here 1 night and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The whole hotel environment is welcoming and spotlessly clean and tidy. Our room was a reasonable size with a huge, and very comfortable, double bed and a small balcony with seating. Breakfast was perfectly adequate without being anything special. It was buffet style with choice of fresh fruit, cereals, scrambled eggs & frankfurter sausages, ham & cheese, mixed breads, toast and a huge array of cakes and pastries. The only issue for is was that the scrambled eggs were very wet and runny. The hotel is centrally located, just off the main drag through town, and within easy walking of all amenities. Free on site parking is provided. We had two issues during our stay. Firstly, the sound-proofing between rooms isn’t great which we discovered when the lady next door had a very animated telephone call at 11:00pm. To be fair, once she had shut up things were very peaceful which goes to show that the issues are invariably a result of inconsiderate human behaviour. Secondly, they clearly have a issue with the hotel heating system. It’s a centralised hot air system and we came in from dinner around 10:00pm to find our room like a sauna with hot air gushing in through the vent. We raised this at reception and the lady on duty was duly horrified and rushed to turn the heating off. I awoke at 4:00am to find the hot air once again gushing in and had to go to get the night staff to sort it out again.

“Stop on bike trip”

Friendly staff, free WiFi, convenient to downtown. Rooms are not overly big, nice courtyard where you can chill out and have a drink after a hard day. Hotel is located on the shore of a lake in a beautiful valley.

We spent one night in room 211. This room had 1 queen bed and 2 sofas which could be used as optional beds, hard wood floors, a desk and chair, and TV. We spent one night in room 211. This room had 1 queen bed and 2 sofas which could be used as optional beds, hard wood floors, a desk and chair, and TV. Free wifi was available here also but reception was spotty and we had to go to the lobby to get a decent signal. The bathroom had shampoo but no conditioner. There is a bathtub/shower configuration with the shower head being rather old. It is good that they have a hand hold on the wall in the tub. The trickiest part of the room was operating the safe. It is quite complicated but does work. Breakfast was just average and relatively sparse.

Very nice rooms, very friendly housekeepers, close to city center. Awful WiFi, poor breakfast without juice. Terrible heating system without control, first two nights my room was cold, third night was an oven, I must open a window. I asked about checkout time and they told me 10:30, no delays. Then I stayed in the lobby looking people checking out at 11:30, even 12:00 without complaint from the staff. Worst guest service policy!!!
