The little chalets were great and had all you needed for a stay including fully replete kitchen, films, a bbq (that they will clean for you) extra pillows and a little heated pool. Don’t be alarmed at about 8.30am when you hear your door open- you’re not being broken into, that is the staff leaving you a basket of fresh croissants every day! It was pretty hot in the house at night and the bathroom had seen better days but on the whole it was a great place to stay. Gustavo was super friendly and helpful with tips and directions. Los pequeños chalets eran geniales y tenían todo lo que necesitabas para una estadía que incluía una cocina completamente completa, películas, una barbacoa (que te limpiarán) almohadas adicionales y una pequeña piscina climatizada. No se alarme aproximadamente a las 8.30 am cuando escuche que se abre la puerta. No se le está entrometiendo, ¡es decir, el personal le deja una cesta de croissants frescos todos los días! Hacía bastante calor en la casa por la noche (en verano) y el baño había visto días mejores, pero en general era un gran lugar para quedarse. Gustavo es super amable y servicial con consejos y direcciones.

This was our second stay here and, on reading my last review, the comments are the same. Not 5 star luxury but spacious and very good value as we again got an internet special from their website. The staff are excellent and so friendly and helpful, the manager Gustavo, Max in the office and the ladies who clean the rooms and bring the breakfast trays with fresh medialunas. With their limited English and our limited Spanish we communicated well. I do however agree with the comments from another reviewer about the hard towels; ditto the bedlinen but all very clean. The bed in the main bedroom is standard double with twin beds in the second bedroom. Still comfortable and very good value but do not expect luxury.

“Very good value in San Martin de Los Andes”

We stayed here for 2 weeks and had a 2 storey unit which could have slept 6. It was 2 bedrooms upstairs with 2 beds/sofas downstairs in the living area. Well-equipped full kitchen and a spacious dining area. Outdoor seating and a BBQ for each unit. As we are only a couple there was lots of space to spread out. Not sure if all units are the same but the others we happened to see were as big. It is a few years old but not a modern design and is wood and brick Andean country style; not our taste but OK. The downside from our point of view was the location as it is high on a hill in the suburb of Altos del Sol and the walk to town is OK; about 15 minutes but coming back up was 25 minutes; not good with heavy shopping bags. Still we did improve our cardiovascular fitness. If one had a car then it is a pleasant quiet location. The units were well cleaned daily and all the dishes washed, bed made and towels changed if one wishes. A tray breakfast was left in the kitchen, at 8.30 each day, with delicious warm media lunas, bread and conserves plus tea and coffee bags. Very pleasant staff but the office is not staffed all the time and not all speak English. There is good WIFI and cable TV and telephone in the units and a small outdoor, heated pool plus a games room. Efficient heating system which is necessary in the colder times of year here. Other apartments we have rented have not provided daily cleaning etc. and for the price we feel it is very good value and would return. It seemed to be mainly people from Argentina and Chile staying there and it was great to meet them and get local information as some of them were regulars and very friendly. It was low season in San Martin so we got a super special on the internet with 7 days for the price of 6 which also included a half-day guided fly fishing and a half day local bus tour. It worked out at around US$55 per day for the 2 of us. It is definitely worth checking their website for specials.
