“Okay ”

The place looks good and the rooms are good. The breakfast was excellent BUT the service was not that good. We waited a long time to check in, and the communication was not that good. But other than that it was quite there and the rooms had a good size

Excellent venue with remarkably helpful staff. Breakfast served daily in your appartment. Great location in tranquil hills area super safe and only 30 mins walk to the downtown action of bars and clubs. Excellent venue with remarkably helpful staff. Breakfast served daily in your appartment. Great location in tranquil hills area super safe and only 30 mins walk to the downtown action of bars and clubs. Plenty of restaurants and bars close by and great hot water service with the all important airconditioning. I took a one bedroom apartment with kitchenette and seperate bathroom. There were some scuffs on the walls and bathroom damage due to moisture. The window did not lock properly but the area is so safe that was not a problem. I was also blessed by daily housekeeping not expected from an appartment booking.

First of all there is definitely no swimming pool despite the picture on Google and parking is on the street. Breakfast was delivered on a small tray at the start of our week! No one spoke English and communication is via Whatsapp as there is no one on site (the key was left for us outside under a stone). The kitchen was dirty and was poorly equipped. The tap was cold only and broken, as was the bathroom cold tap. The apartment had no bath but the shower worked well (hot and cold!). There was air conditioning in the kitchen area but not the bedroom. The hotel is 30 minutes by taxi to the airport and an hours walk to the city centre but in a nice residential area. We definitely wouldn’t return, and 3 stars is generous.

This could be a good hotel, though unfortunately it's a bit run down. The walls in the rooms need to be repainted as they are covered in marks and scratches. The bathrooms also need to be repainted and perhaps remodeled as mold seems to be a bit of an issue. We asked to change the room we were initially put in as one of the hotplates didn't work properly, and both kitchens (in the new and the original room) were inadequately stocked for us to do any real cooking. We were told that we could simply go into the the owner's apartment to grab kitchen utensils, though I never really felt comfortable doing that, and we were only told that after we complained. On the plus side, the beds were comfortable, with nice bedding, and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, though only the manager speaks English and was often away. The hotel is not in the centre of Salta, which adds the cost of taking cabs to and fro. If I could re-do our Salta trip, I would probably opt to stay at one of the B&Bs in town.
