Stayed here while attending Broadbeach blues festival as a couple. This resort caters for families however as a couple we were very happy. Self contained room with all amenities you require. Our room was very quiet and spacious. There is a woolworths next door so you can stock up on essentials. Bus stop outside resort so we could get to and from festival in minutes. Few minute walk to beach. We would stay again and recommend to couples or families. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We were pleasantly surprised by this resort. Unlike other resorts, the reception area is modest and low key. The check in process was seamless, and our room was ready sooner than we expected, which is a big plus for us. Other things we look for in our getaways are: 1. Size and cleanliness of the room. 2. Back out curtains so we can sleep in. 3. Proximity to amities (bonus point for room service) 4. Free parking. 5. Late check out if possible. Turtle beach resort ticked all these! access to BBQ areas, pools, and an inhouse pizza joint pushed it on top of our ranking list. I highly recommend this place especially for families with kids.

Pros: *Apartments are inexpensive (however you do get what you pay for - please see below). *Reservations team were amazing in helping us book our holiday. They were always prompt in responding to emails about our group booking and helpful with information about things to do whilst on the Gold Coast. *The pool areas are nice as is The Deck restaurant and bar. *The gardens are amazing and are extremely well maintained. *This resort is really only suitable for families with young children. *Tram and bus stops are out the front of the resort - easy access therefore to Pacific Fair and Surfers Paradise. *Walking distance to the beach. *Supermarket and chemist within walking distance. *Resort does have its own shuttle bus (however it requires bookings and can be expensive if you are a group). It is much, much cheaper to use the public transport system if you can. Cons: *The standard apartments are out dated and are in desperate need of repairs and refurbishing. I would definitely recommend paying extra for the superior apartment option. *Bed linen is thin and there are no extra blankets in the rooms. *This resort is not suitable for group bookings. We were a group booking of 22 (6 apartments) and despite being reassured on several occasions by the reservations staff that we would be placed together, upon check in we were advised by reception staff that all 6 of our apartments were spread across the whole resort and nowhere near each other. Would definitely not recommend staying here if you are a group booking and want to be together. *Whilst there are several BBQ areas in the resort, they are not big enough for groups more than 8. *This resort is definitely not suitable for older people or people with mobility issues. We were celebrating our parents 80th birthday and despite knowing this, my parents were initially placed in a 1 bedroom apartment on the third floor. There are no lifts so they needed to take 6 flights of stairs every time they needed to get to their room. Reception were able to move them to a ground floor apartment on our request however this apartments bathroom had a shower over a bath which my parents were unable to get into. Again we contacted reception who advised that ALL of the one bedroom apartments in the resort have this configuration and that to get a walk in shower my parents would need to pay extra for a two bedroom apartment despite not needing the extra bedroom. *Reception staff, while friendly, seemed inexperienced and confused on the occasions that we dealt with them. Bookings for the resort bus that had been made months prior and paid for were not in the system. There is clearly no communication whatsoever between the reservations team and the reception staff.

The resort is ideally situated. Great for families. The Adult pool was terrific. The cons of this resort, they charge $5.00/person for pool towels. The resort is ideally situated. Great for families. The Adult pool was terrific. The cons of this resort, they charge $5.00/person for pool towels. They also only allocate two rolls of toilet tissue for the unit. You then have to purchase the toilet issue - 2 rolls for $3.99. It was much cheaper at the grocery store. It would be better if they charged an amenities fee for the week. Paying for essentials makes the resort look extremely cheap. Never in 30 years of doing timeshare resorts have I ever had to pay for toilet tissue.
