Proximity to Victor Harbour and Granite Island is great however during school holiday ( can’t comment on other times as haven’t been there then) the sites are super squeezy. Access to Park, from Council roads, was probably great decades again however now it is super busy the sites are too small for big vans and lots of traffic Kids ride their bikes are under the park, n the narrow roads, which is good great however dangerous it people parking / exiting vans. Sites are just too small . Fortunately we booked a drive through however still far too tight

“Not serene or peaceful or anything similar!!!”

We booked two adjacent safari tents to house a group of friends (6 people) travelling together. We booked two adjacent safari tents to house a group of friends (6 people) travelling together. Overall we were glad we tried out these tents in the basis that we didn’t have anything but praise for their appearance, fit-out, comfort and kitchen supplies etc. It was nice to see champagne as well as wine glasses - thank you!!! The aircon did struggle but that isn’t surprising since it was nearly 40 degrees - meaning the outdoor baths filled with cold water were very handy indeed whilst the main pool was absolutely jam packed. What disappointed us was the lack of seclusion and the fact that the car parks are not positioned directly next to each tent. The VERY lacking privacy quite frankly destroyed the whole experience. And we don’t just mean the fact that your neighbouring safari tent guests can see straight into your outdoor baths, but rather that the whole tent area, that looks like it should be just for use by the safari tent guests, is actually a free-for-all and not separated. Not even a suggestive sign to say ‘safari tent guests only’…. It’s not meant to sound like an elitist comment but with all other similar glamping tents in other parks we have stayed at, the premium price paid has been commensurate with the separation away from the entire park’s customers. We had families who were not staying in the tents just roaming around outside them gawking and in many cases extremely noisily messing around in the fire pit and pizza oven area, tearing around ripping up the gravel on scooters!! It seems the bbq there is considered communal, so not ‘reserved’ for the tent guests, presumably because each tent has its own bbq. Some guests even went up into our tent’s outdoor deck whilst we were out visiting our friends’ tent next door and there were kids were climbing over everything. The excuse by the mother when confronted was that she thought it was empty - well so what, these lovely tents shouldn’t be used as playgrounds by kids staying in other cabins or vans who feel like ‘exploring’!! So now that we read this from their website we can only laugh…. ‘Nestled in a serene setting, they offer a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.’ It was NOT serene or peaceful in the slightest!
