Travelodge Hotel Hobart Airport

Great location. Clean rooms. Accessible.

“Airport location is only thing going for it”

The hotel is located in the airport area but note that it is not walkable with bags. We stayed here to take the early morning Qantas flight to Melbourne. We have stayed here many times when it was a Travelodge but first time since the Mantra rebrand. I am gold ALL so was hoping for some recognition… more

The hotel is located in the airport area but note that it is not walkable with bags. We stayed here to take the early morning Qantas flight to Melbourne. We have stayed here many times when it was a Travelodge but first time since the Mantra rebrand. I am gold ALL so was hoping for some recognition. We were apparently upgraded to a superior room but I couldn’t see why it was superior. In fact it was close to the highway and had a view of the bins… not the best room for a gold. The curtains were ripped and the room is in need of some renovation. However, we loved the Hobart picture - that was always my feedback to the previous hotel that the rooms had no character. Our rate included breakfast but as we were leaving early we asked for a breakfast box. Check in guy said he would ask the chef and call us back. Never did. So we asked again and were advised there was nothing they could do. I’m really surprised as surely an airport hotel needs an express breakfast option? They shouldn’t sell breakfast rates if they can’t be more flexible. You will stay here for location if you are flying early. But average overall. Don’t stay here unless you are flying out early - might as well stay in Hobart. Welcome drinks were good but that is really all I got as gold.

“Stay calling a Uber/Taxi”

The location is good for being near the airport around 5 to 10 min away. Tje receptionist said we could call a Uber at 4 in the morning or 10 min before which did bot work at all AND the taxi Button in the hotel which you could press and after a few minutes later the taxi was cancelled AND to call… more

The location is good for being near the airport around 5 to 10 min away. Tje receptionist said we could call a Uber at 4 in the morning or 10 min before which did bot work at all AND the taxi Button in the hotel which you could press and after a few minutes later the taxi was cancelled AND to call any Taxi whatever is not easy if you haven't got an Australian number!!! So if you are there just book a taxi or Uber the night before otherwise YOU WILL WAIT A LONG TIME !!! As a input for the hotel put a number from a local taxi there which all people without an Australian number also can call. As for the hotel it is good for a one night stay. It's clean the stuff is friendly.

Meh. Probably would have rating this a 2.7 if I could do fractions. The location is excellent if you are flying in/out of Hobart Airport. There's a gas station and a Subway less than a 5 minute walk way (you'll still need to drive if you want to refill your rental car :-)). The room isn't bad… more

There's a gas station and a Subway less than a 5 minute walk way (you'll still need to drive if you want to refill your rental car :-)). The room isn't bad. The staff wasn't overly friendly and there seemed like everyone on front of me to check in had some issue that needed to be resolved. The real disappointment is that breakfast isn't open until 7am (and wasn't ready at 7am the day we left). This mean if you pay for breakfast and you have an early flight, you'll probably miss out. I hope the sign in the room suggesting cameras we being used to check for compliance with the non-smoking policy was just using left of signs that normally go in the hall, right?
