“Great position, Fabulous Host”

My husband, my mother-in-law and I stayed 1 night as we wanted to view an art exhibition at Salamanca. Fabulous position for walking to Salamanca and town. The decor was gorgeous and the host was so obliging. I had mucked up my booking and nothing was a bother. Highly recommend staying here.

“A gem of an apartment!”

What a gem of a place to stay. Everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable and more! And in such a beautiful location!! The fittings were of excellent quality and the apartment was styled beautifully. We really enjoyed our night there and wished we could have stayed longer.

“Total pleasure to be staying here”

We are a family of 3 staying in the 2 bedroom apartment upstairs. We love it! So many luxurious touches, the elegant decor makes it so special. Love the black and gold decor, with no compromise on quality for bedding, lounges and robes. Thanks for the special personal touches - Lindt chocolates, Ne… more

  • Yes, guests at Battery Point Boutique Accommodation have highlighted that: If I asked you to list the iconic tourist locations in Hobart, I’m sure the following would feature; the Salamanca Markets (every Saturday); the Harbour and Constitution Dock, where the Sydney to Hobart maxis finish; Battery Point, with its cute Colonial houses and cottages, and Mount Wellington, where you can experience snow in summer and a bird's eye view of Hobart. As Meatloaf said “two out of three ain’t bad,” as you will be based in Battery Point and have an easy walk into two others. So the location of the Battery Point Boutique Accomodation cottages would be hard to better. The other key issue in Battery Point is parking, and the cottages come with sealed, off-road parking, although access and exit will test your driving skills. There appear to be 4 cottages in the converted home; two upper floor accessed via an external staircase, and two on the ground floor. We had one of the lower ground floor cottages, so our description is based on that cottage. It is possible that the general decor of all four cottages is the same. Lots of power outlets for your collection of electronic devices and responsive WiFi. We would be surprised if your first impressions are not totally favourable. Our cottage had a very tasteful black and white theme, with virtually everything in one of the two colours. You get the impression that the cottage layout was architect designed, and they were also given carte blanche with the decor. The small kitchen is slightly separated from the integral lounge and dining area. There is a large dining table and chairs, a lounge and separate chair, coffee table and some tasteful lamps and lighting to provide aesthetic appeal. Whilst the kitchen was small, it had everything you could want for a few days stay in Hobart, including a large fridge/freezer, convention microwave and cooktop, coffee machine, washing machine, and plenty of crockery, cutlery, glassware and cooking utensils. Other than its size, it was hard to fault. The bedroom is also very tastefully decorated, in black and white, of course. Large comfortable bed, with the usual decor cushions, requiring engineering stacking expertise before you retire for the night. Nice bedside tables and tasteful lamps for that romantic atmosphere. The bathroom is split into two areas, with an external wash basin and small wardrobe cavity, and a separate shower and toilet room. The shower was of a reasonable size, with plenty of hot water and soft towels (white, of course.) There is a small garden in front of cottages with a range of tables and chairs, where you can sit for those pre-dinner drinks. Almost forgot, the Tariff (currently a much abused term.) Let us put it this way, $280 per night in luxury accommodation in the tourist heart of Battery Point, compared to the $230 per night we paid for a small, modern but featureless cabin in Swansea, sounds like value for money. If you are not delighted with your Battery Point Cottage, you are obviously a hard person to please. PERFECT in every way (particularly if have a weakness for black and white decor!) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Enjoy!
