Stayed 3 nights in relatively small room with a large and bright bathroom which was a huge plus. Was not upgraded as the hotel was fully booked. Stayed 3 nights in relatively small room with a large and bright bathroom which was a huge plus. Was not upgraded as the hotel was fully booked. Location is ideal, with a tram station in front and near the theatres which was the main reason we chose to stay here. Breakfast at Dolly was good with great coffee by the baristas. Very decent breakfast spread. Service by staff at Dolly during breakfast was outstanding eventhough it was packed. Will definitely return.

The Check-in process was well managed and we had a high floor room with a city view. The room is compact but lovely as is the bathroom. High standard modern and well curated. The gym was good and the pool on hot sunny days was lovely and, of course, quite busy. We loved the hotel. One warning that management have decided not to employ enough housekeeping so they prioritise making up rooms which are checked out of so that if you stay your room won't be made up early. One day was 3pm and the other was 4pm. We asked but were told that they prioritised change over rooms. Fair enough, their call not to work like other hotels to employ enough people. The housekeeping staff were charming. Would deffo stay again.

I recently stayed at Le Méridien Melbourne and overall had a very good experience, though not quite the full five-star standard the hotel aspires to. The highlights: The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the pillow menu was a thoughtful luxury touch. My room was a generous size for the CBD, and the design subtly compensated for the lack of a view with tasteful furnishings and clever layout. The bathroom was a real standout—beautifully appointed with a spacious rainfall shower and excellent quality shampoo and conditioner. Where it fell short: The in-room tea and coffee selection was surprisingly limited. For a five-star property, I would expect a range of complimentary options such as peppermint and green teas, instant coffee, and even a simple hot chocolate. It was a surprise to discover that plain black tea wasn’t stocked and had to be requested—surely the most universal option of all. Food & beverage: In-room dining was reasonable, and staff were consistently polite and helpful. Breakfast the next morning was extensive with plenty of variety, though I would have liked to see more of those options available via room service, especially as the dining room was quite noisy. Overall: Not quite the five-star experience promised, but still a comfortable, enjoyable stay with several high points. I would consider staying again, with a few small improvements likely to lift the experience even further.

Disappointing stay. Small room with no view due to frosted windows. Slow/spotty wifi. Would stay elsewhere next time.
