Stayed at the Parkroyal, as we had a very early morning flight the next day. The hotel, room and staff exceeded our expectations. Surprisingly quiet as you’re so close to the airport. We will definitely stay again if we have a an early morning flight. We would just like to say thank you to the duty manager as a bottle of sparkling wine and strawberries was sent to our room as we were celebrating our 35th anniversary. Very much appreciated. Thanks once again.

“Excellent location with quiet rooms.”

After a flight was cancelled I was put up here. Arriving at 11pm check in was warm, friendly and professional. The room on the 8th floor was large and quiet, even with terminal construction outside. The bathroom was great and included a bath (with bath salts) and a shower. The included toiletries were nice too. The mini bar had a good selection of beer, wines and spirits whilst the box of Dilmah teas had 4 varieties. The bed was great. King sized, 2 pillows and comfy. The bedside clock was appreciated. The only issue I have is with the breakfast. The full buffet is $50. Now that’s very expensive but the problem is I don’t consider it to be valued at $50. There are cooked- to- order options around $25 so you can save funds if needed. On the hot side there were hash brown’s, mushrooms, tomatoes, eye bacon and scrambled eggs. The eggs may have been from a packet as they were not what I recall scrambled eggs to be. And not nice. The bacon and hash browns were both good. 4 juices were on offer but no glasses for the hour I was there. Bread selection was good with whole sourdough loaves, regular bread and bagels. Sweets included muffins and pastries but not a big selection. In the cold fridge was fruit, yoghurt, cheese and meats. The coffee was not very nice. The breakfast area to me just didn’t work; spoons for the hot stuff were sat well below the height of the dishes, most food is kept in heavy cast iron pots, with nowhere really obvious to put the heavy cast iron lid. Overall this is a very convenient place to stay between flights and my fussiness over breakfast should not put you off from considering it.

“Fantastic location”

We stayed one night at this modern airport hotel to make our onward travel to Perth after a short stay in Melbourne. I chose it for its proximity-literally a 1 min walk across the street from the terminals. We booked an executive king suite and also paid an extra $A 109 for an early check-in as our flight from the U.S. arrived at 6:30 am. We were able to get a room around d 9 am which gave us a chance to freshen up before heading into the city after our 24-hour journey. Our room at the end of the hall on the 6th floor (654) had a curved wall of windows overlooking T2 of the airport and couldn’t have been any more convenient. The main uber stand was just across the street as was the airport sky bus into town. Our king bed was firm and comfortable and the room was very quiet with a lot of blackout shades. The single sink bathroom had a tub and much too small shower with no shortage of water flow. It was perfect for our brief visit and we booked breakfast with our rate and the generous buffet ($A50 if bought ala carte) had a wide variety of hot food, juices, breads and cooked to order eggs. Recommended

“Comfortable 2 night stay”

Stayed 2 nights this time around, just how it worked with our flights. Checking in we've always had a wait. Not sure what was going on this time only 1 guy serving someone and another staff member walking around behind the counter while 3 groups queued waiting to be served. Then another two ladies came from behind the curtain. Was woken in the morning with the construction workers building the new car park out the back of the hotel. Then when the team of cleaners arrived on the floor I was woken again from all their chitter chatter. Cleanliness wasn't spot on. Clump of dark hair on bathroom floor [not ours] and on the bed. Also the bench top above the fridge had not been wiped it had lumps of stuff on it that I wiped off. The DND light does not work outside the door, despite the button being pressed down in the room & of course the cleaners knocked on the door & tried to open it while we were still lying in bed. These things should be checked by the staff. Great location, so handy to walk over to the airport to stretch your legs and have something to eat and drink. Plenty of choices there in T2 and T1. Bed was comfortable, but very bouncey with partner disturbance. No bottled water provided in room. Boooo We find the standard room has plenty of space for our cases and us to move around. The photo I have added was taken from outside T2 to show you how close to the airport the hotel is. T1 domestic is right next door to T2 International very very convenient. Everything within walking distance. There's still loads of renovations going on in the area so a little bit of a walk around via the car park to get to the hotel.
