Recently stayed here on a trip to see my Daughter, the location is amazing! Short walk to the beach and the local bars and restaurants. The hotel has a nice relaxed feel about it, the bar area and restaurant were of a good standard with friendly and helpful staff. The room was a little bit tired but comfortable, the only issue we had was flushing the toilet was like an Olympic sport. But this didn't spoil our stay and I would recommend to anyone who is travelling to the area.

The reception area and main foyer is very glamorous and gives the impression of an elegant hotel. Plenty of staff on the reception desk. However once outside reception, things change. The corridors going to the rooms are like corridors in service areas - shabby and in need of a good vacuum. Trying to find the swimming pool (especially if you are in the Southern Cross side of the building) is like a treasure hunt. I always thought fire doors were only to be used in emergencies, but these provide access to the pool. Parking is in a separate building. The bed was large and very comfortble. We had a lovely large balcony. But the rooms have old furniture. I did like the incentive of $10 per night for not using housekeeping. There was a separate shower unit to the spa bath. We did not use the spa bath but were aware when other residents did becuase the water gurgles in adjoining rooms.

Very basic rooms in need of a spruce up. Our air con was freezing, we asked for heaters which were provided quickly and the fault was fixed the next day, which was excellent. Very basic rooms in need of a spruce up. Our air con was freezing, we asked for heaters which were provided quickly and the fault was fixed the next day, which was excellent. Front desk staff very on it! Breakfast hot drinks is by you writing out an order. Strange but worked. Parking across the road all worked well, be aware that there is an upstairs parking deck as well which you access just as you get to the exit. Location is superb for things to do in Fremantle. They have free issue umbrellas for when it rains and did it just. Lots of buckets collecting rain leaking onto the ground floor. Two pools and 3 washing machines and tumble driers available. I would stay here again. But it is not 4 star in my experience.
