The hotel is very nice, built with traditional materials, but in a modern style. Between the two hotel buildings is a garden open to the lake. The rooms are clean and spacious. The rooms on the ground floor have direct access to the garden with deckchairs. These rooms also have an exterior blind. The varied breakfast selection is very good. A choice of three menus is served for dinner. All meals are tasty and made from local ingredients. I felt welcome and comfortably accommodated in the hotel. The only minus is the lack of air conditioning in the room.

On entering this family run hotel you are made so welcome by the owners that you feel at home straight away. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and always greet you with a smile. On entering this family run hotel you are made so welcome by the owners that you feel at home straight away. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and always greet you with a smile. Nothing is too much trouble and you can always get advice about cycling or hiking trips. The rooms are spacious and tastefully furnished, lots of cupboard space and a balcony overlooking the lake. The bed was very comfortable, large bathroom and toilet extra. Each room has its own sun lounges and umbrellas in the private garden which has direct access to the lake. You can place them wherever you want and they remain there during your stay unless you move them yourself. There is also a lovely roof top spa area on one of the hotel buildings with plenty of room to relax after a sauna or steam bath. A balcony runs the full length of the area with comfortable loungers so in good weather you can also relax outside and look at the beautiful lake. Bathrobe and slippers are also provided. The food is another story. Everything is top quality and you have plenty of choice. You will never go hungry in this hotel. Breakfast was excellent. The buffet offered everything you could think of in cold cuts, cheeses, spreads, and various egg dishes which were made fresh on request. A lunch time snack consisting of salads, soups and one or two hot dishes was also offered. Then in the afternoon there was a small cake buffet. The evening meal was 5 course, partially buffet and table service. For the main course you had a choice of meat, fish or vegetarian meals and we often didn’t know what to choose as they were always so varied. Desserts were excellent and then came the cheese buffet. Wow. I won’t say how many kilos I put on even though I did plenty of sport. They also offer lots of good wine at reasonable prices. What was also unique in this hotel is that all guests have a table indoors for bad weather and one on the terrace. So, there is no guest preference which often happens in hotels when they have regular guests. Free parking is also available, so what more could you wish for. I can certainly recommend this hotel and look forward to going again next year.

Modern Hotel, the assigned room was very nice and spacy. All furniture and equipment are new, without wear and tear, inclusive the bathroom fittings and equipment which were also of high quality and high-quality brands. The room was tidy and clean. The bathroom has a generous size and the flat shower is very comfortable. We had half board, i.e. breakfast and dinner. Breakfast has a very rich selection of choices, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, salmon, cheese, fruits, cakes and various coffees. They offer a good selection of various breads and bread rolls. Different juices, apple, orange and water and milk. Several choices of fruits, and sweets. A good variety on different cereals. The dinner is excellent, includes a buffet from fresh salads, a first course, there is a selection of 3 different main courses each day, i.e. meat, fish or vegetarian and desserts. They offer professional assistance in the selection of the wines, they do have a wine waiter (Sommelier). They recommend wines with your dinner, which we tried several times and were never disappointed. Service is excellent, very attentive and friendly. The sauna areas, on the roof top with stunning view over lake Ossiach and the sauna at the shore of the lake are just gorgeous. The housekeeping is very efficient, but thorough and rooms are ready early.

We have been staying in the Seerose since several years now. In the past they were mostly booked, when we planning to visit the area again. This time we got hold of two nights during August. Due to limited availability of other rooms we booked the DZ Landskron with half board. The room is modern and spacious. We arrived and outside temperatures were close to 30 °C, however, the room has no air-condition, but the housekeeping had nicely closed all the curtains to keep the heat outside. Unfortunately, during our stay this did not help anymore and the temperatures inside the room the raised beyond 24°C without the possibility to lower it by opening the windows. When opening the door to the nice balcony, we had to face an increased number of mosquitos inside the room, which was unpleasant. Thus, we decided to sweat instead of being bitten. Insect screens could be an improvement measure here. Unfortunately, there is no fridge in the room to keep some water or drinks cold in the room. This was quite disappointing, especially, with these temperature conditions. We are not used to the lack of a fridge, which is standard in even 3 stars hotels. We got a little disappointed with the dinner, the salad bar and first course are of good and fresh quality, unfortunately there is little variability. The main course however was well arranged, but the portion was quite small. The waiter did not respond to our critics in this respect, nor offered an addition. In summary we were disappointed by our stay, especially as we had planned the stay as the recreational finish of our vacations. When addressing the insect screen and missing fridge on check out, the receptionist took our remarks quite laid-back, but mentioned, that we could have gotten a small fridge on request, this we question, as we did not see any power plug at the foreseen place in the cupboard.
