“Overnight stay”

A very clean functional motel. The room was spacious, good tv and free access to the wifi. Close to Vienna airport, and not as expensive as staying in the city, Staff are very helpful. “Just O K”

We chose to stay at this motel/hotel outside of Vienna in order to avoid driving and finding parking for our vehicle in the city. We chose to stay at this motel/hotel outside of Vienna in order to avoid driving and finding parking for our vehicle in the city. With only a 45 min tram ride(12 Euro rt) this proved to be a good idea, The added plus to staying outside Vienna was that Baden turned out to be a simply beautiful and friendly place with beautiful gardens, historical sites and even a casino to boot. The pace was slow and low, exactly what we needed after the daily run around in Vienna. The motel/hotel however was a bit of a disappointment. Located about 2 km from the town centre, we were happy we had a vehicle. There fortunately is a tram stop just across (200m) the bridge for those who do not have a vehicle and wish to shop/dine in the centre of Baden. Unfortunately, the hotel is a bit tired and threadbare to say the least. To their credit, the staff was both friendly and very helpful. Although the room we were shown had recently been renovated and designated as a non smoking room, the hallways and elevator reeked of stale smoke. In fairness, our room did not. The breakfasts were adequate but lacked any fresh fruits or baked goods other than breads. The most negative aspect of this motel/hotel was the unfortunate fact that our three day stay was in the midst of a heatwave and there was absolutely no A/C or fans provided. To make matters worse, the window in our room could not be opened (by design) more than 6" at the very top. The nights were sweltering to say the least. The heat and discomfort forced us to leave early. We would definitely not recommend this motel/hotel, at least not in the summer months.
